Hm, I like the sequin pants/bloomers and don't mind the sandal boot things. The cardigan is ugly and sad though, but I don't see this as representing Anthropologie or the Anthro shopper at all.

I'm so not Anthropologie's target audience.

Anthro is not generally popular on YLF but I think it's a great store. Well, more for me I guess!

Shana, the scary thing is the costume price would actually be in line with some of the kid costumes out there. The Chasing Fireflies catalog has been known to show up in my house, and one time DD fished it out of the recycling bin and picked out costumes for each family member. " Mommy, look, my costume is only $120 dollars! I really really really really want it!" That gave me a few gray hairs right there.

Okay for me:

Ugg boots
Any harem pants
I saw those old, Madonna style 80's giant bow headbands in Lucky mag. Ugh.
Booties with capri length leggings

Maya, I tend to like Anthro too, so count me in.

Beth, your hysterical, pun-tastic comment woke Corey up!! My raucus peel of laughter got through to him, and that's no easy feat! Nice one!

O.M.G. Hmm. I would *dare* you to purchase these and make them work, but they're far too expensive for a dare.

These are too funny! That mallard cardi looks like some granny's knitting project, the kind you get gifted with for Christmas and have to wear to family gatherings.

Maya, I really like Anthro as well, because it's exciting and different. I always look there with interest, particularly at their jackets, which I can mesh with my style pretty well.

SO has a relative with a strong boho style who tends to get Anthro items from us on gift-giving occasions. Recently, that mallard cardi was a serious contender! For some reason, I don't find it nearly as strange as the pony, though we ultimately went withthis jacket.

Ladies -- Ugg boots? I get that they're not stylish, but hardly bizarre!

I think Uggs are pretty bizarre, we're just numb to them. Imagine looking back in 20 years, they're going to be laughing! Ooh colored Uggs, tall Uggs, Uggs with laces.

I actually liked the duck cardigan--it felt very clubby and grandpa-ish. Too thick when I felt it in person, but I thought it was cute. The pony cardigan, however, stopped me in my tracks and led to a conference with my bf on "the actual ugliest thing Anthro has ever sold."

LOL...You guys are priceless!

April, that jacket is tempting as it could turn a rectangle into an hourglass with its seaming detail.

I think the duck cardigan looks cute on the model, actually.

I must have atrocious taste by YLF standards because most of the stuff posted here doesn't offend me too much...dead pony cardigan and diaper shorts aside.

I am just so confused by who comes up with this stuff? Bloomers (SEQUINED bloomers?) and a dead horse on someone's sleeve? The only person I can imagine wearing the horse is like a fashion Godfather..."You mess with me and this horse ends up in your closet!"

Well, sure, Uggs aren't bizarre in an outlandish, imaginative "how did they think of that?" way.

To me, they look like what, IIRC, they are: big slippers to wear after a long day of skiing. That people like the look and young women are wearing them in summer months with dresses just seems bizarre to me. But then I look fondly back at my highschool style of kilts, fishnets, combat boots and a mohawk. I wouldn't wear it now, but I still think it was cute and interesting! YMMV! But I guess that's what makes life interesting. If everyone liked the same things it'd be dullsville.

Yes April I may be a CHEAT *holding head in shame* but their must be a better way to cover ones modesty.
