More K/R advice needed please

Over the weekend I picked up a few things and am now wondering if I was wearing sales goggles.
3. A Classiques Entiere deep purple cardi,

here shown with a black shift dress from my closet. Frumpy or fab?
1-2 and 4-6. This linen Citron kimono-esque jacket is one I could swear I saw awhile back on Angie's picks but I can't find it.

I have a similar one that is longer and in brown, cream and peach/coral floral and I wear it a lot. (Photos 7-8). This one is soft black fading into pale grey with touches of citron yellow. I have a citron tank coming that will look better with it than my gold oversized tee, but you get the idea. The design includes small dragons on the sleeves.
Also for consideration are the black Diana skinny Kuts in 4-6. These were on supper sale at the Rack and could replace my Gap black Really Skinny jeans that have gotten faded. But, these jeans are not sized up and are a size 2. They are perfectly comfortable but I sized up to a 6 in the same style in white last spring. These are still scrunchy but are they too fitted for an over 65?
I'd appreciate you honest thoughts on these pieces.

I'm really surprising myself by liking the Citron jacket. The pattern reminds me of the tie-dye Raquel Allegra does

Some Citron seems frumpy to me but this piece is beautiful! Also love that shade of purple.

Yeah, agree with RC on the cut and style, but something in that color would be fab, and imagine it with a citron colored item!

Alright --- trying not to be swayed by other opinions just yet: I like but don't love the citron kimono. It seems like it needs either a little more drape and softness, or a little more structure and body in the fabric and cut. I see the purple cardi as a classic piece, not at all frumpy, and there's always a place for a lovely textured knit in a classic shape. That said, there is a lot of purple to be had right now, if you want a more "Eileen Fisher Drama" type of silhouette.

The pants? Oh yes!

It's the cut of the kimono & the cardi I'm not so sure about. The kimono looks a little boxy imo. I think it is to do with the length & the straight cut. The pants look great Joy.

The belt is to die for -- love it. I also love it with the other asian/ethnic inspired pieces. If you love them all I say keep them because they are all wonderful pieces and exhibit your exquisite taste level.

Keep the Citron jacket and the jeans. I really like the Citron jacket. Citron makes beautiful prints I think.

The jeans look fine because I think you have much more leeway with black than you do with white. I have sized up on my white pants and it's been a good call (really it was Angie's advice).

ETA on the purple topper -- I'm kind of "meh" on it but if it fills a specific hole go for it. It might be that I'm not loving it with black ... it might be the picture. OTOH sometimes "meh" items are the perfect completors for a statement piece or any outfit really. And "meh" really just means it's a basic item.

Love the Citron print& colors. My eye is bad asto whether the Mandarin style is classic or dated. Does the print carry the day or does it need to be styled with some more edge- like boots or pointy shoes? I'm very interested to know.

Cardi looks kinda blah as styled -- maybe get a better idea showing it as a "pop" with another color.
Pants look fine!

I may be the one person who prefers the neatness and colour of the purple cardi to the citron! It's the way the horizontal lines of the pattern are sort of drooping rather than draping (could be that cut or fabrication) that is setting off my poison eye. I see you as a more polished dresser than that.

Am a definite yay on the pants, age irrespective!

I think the jacket is a beauty and you wear this style so effortlessly well. Not sure about the cardi, the color is gorgeous on you but I have a general cardi-phobia so not the best person to assess it
As much as I can see from the pictures the jeans do not look too tight but it is different to see when they are black so I would go with you feeling on them.

I like the citron a lot, especially when paired with the skirt or dress you have on. I may like it with pants with a darker top under it, so the jacket can shine. I like how it plays off your hair.

Love the cardi color, but not the shape. I like the hint of structure even the unlined linen provides.

As to the over 65 question:
-You could have fooled me.
-No worries on the pants.

The only thing that didn't wow me was the purple cardigan. I vote to return that.

Your comments are all food for thought. I picked up the cardigan thinking it may work well with my EF dresses and colored Halogen pencil skirts but have not tried it with everything. Below is a photo of the purple cardi with the EF rhubarb lantern dress. It seems a little dark to me and I wondered if I would need to bookend it with purple shoes or something if used with a color like this.
Photo 2 is a different purple cardi from the Rack that is probably too long and going back. I post it for color comparison. I would wear nude sandals with this color especially.
The linen jacket is getting mixed reviews. I don't want to keep it unless it rates at least a 9. The linen is a bit stiff, not fluid like silk, although it will soften some. It is a boxy style. I'm flip flopping on that piece the most.

If the linen doesn't feel good, don't keep it, is my advice. I have a couple of linen shirts like that and I don't reach for them even though I adore the colours (which was the reason I bought them.) Not all linen is created equal.

Love the jeans on you. Keep!

Purple cardi seems okay but not great -- but if it fills your need, go for it!

I think return the linen jacket. It would be better if it were silk - I feel like that print and that cut need a little more fluidity. I like the print but I feel that it is not up to your usual style.

The jeans are the easiest - keep of course! The cardi is a gorgeous color but not exciting style wise. Is is an essential or a fun extra? I really love the pattern of the Citron jacket, but if the drape/material does not feel great to you, I vote return.

I vote keep for the citron cardigan, great colors in this piece and I also like the length and fit on you. I like the black jeans, I don't see any fit issue here, are they comfy? If so I vote keep. For myself, I always go up one or two sizes in my white jeans compared to any other colors I have. The purple cardigan, I vote pass, I'm not a fan of the shorter boxy shape here. I'd like to see it slightly longer if boxy or slightly shorter and more form fitting.

I think the citron jacket will become an orphan in your particular closet and style aesthetic.

I like the pants.

The cardi is fine if it fills a wardrobe hole/need.

Thank you all for your help. The purple cardi is going back. The jeans are staying and I'm pretty sure I'll keep the Citron jacket too. I wear the other linen one all summer. The weight is perfect. This one is just different enough that I think it will get lots of use too. Hugs to all
