Aren't you glad you asked us? lol

Joy, mine have been worn once and washed three times thanks to my unfortunate kahlua incident. They may have shortened in length just a bit, or maybe they just lie better since they have softened up a bit. I haven't felt any noticeable stretching after wearing for a while.

Lol, karymk . Pil, thank you for the washing and stretching information. I will wash before shortening and hope they do shrink a bit, in length anyway. Did you hang to dry?

Goodness isn't it interesting that everyone has a different idea on the fit of these jeans? I originally favoured the smaller size, but when you read the comments of those that prefer the larger ones, I can see their point of view, so I'm afraid I am now on the fence, sorry!

One thing that I am sure of though is that you look fabulous in ivory, really stunning.

Yes, I meant to include they were washed cold dried flat.

This is tough! I like the rear view of the smaller size but the front view of the larger. I kind of like them as a narrow trouser rather than a skinny jean. After seeing about any shrinkage I would hem them for just a bit of scrunch but not too much as I think too much scrunch overwhelms your small frame.
The color is just perfect for you!
Now I'm wanting to try but usually can't fit into anything described as slim through hips and I have no idea what size.

Aleta and Unfrumped, it is hard when there is no clear point of view. My body is probably too twisted to get an accurate rear view.
Pil, thank you for clarifying. This is a great help.

Hands down, my vote is for the larger jean because I think it is a more updated look. I'd second Angie's suggestion to play around with some of your tops before making the final decision.

But do take my opinion with a grain of salt because I'm in the process of purging most of my body-con items. I think I've just grown weary of the skinny, jeans-that-look-like-leggings and shrunken, short jackets that have held sway for so long. To my eye, a slightly looser fit is a more interesting shape to work with these days.
