jean skirt - part 2

Hi all,

I returned the BR skirt because it was just a little too tapered, and purchased one at Ann Taylor. I think this is better, although it does ride up a bit when I walk - I think Angie said that was ok?

It's fitted, but definitely not as tight as the last one. What do you all think?

It looks great to me, Julie. Can you tell me how long the skirt is? I haven't seen these at Ann Taylor but haven't been there in a few weeks.

I like this one so much better, Julie. Looks cute, and I love your shirt.

I don't remember the first skirt but this one looks great. I am sure you will get tons of use out of it.

VERY nice and flattering! And since you feel more comfortable in it than in the BR one (which I liked but it was definitely very tight) then you should absolutely keep this.
Also love the shirt :-)

KILLER. Good old AT :0)

You look wonderful in it JJ. I liked the BR one quite a bit too but I might be biased since I generally prefer tapered pencil skirts as opposed to straight ones.

It looks great, JJ. I'm so glad you got one and it fits you so well. I was contemplating it sometime ago, but didn't get it because I'm weary of buying bottoms right now (I'm not sure which size I'll end up after I heal from surgery).

Looks wonderful, Julie. I'm glad you returned the first one as this one looks great on you!

I think Angie said that the skirt may walk up to your natural waist and she usually buys them to fit at her natural waist or has them taken in to sit at the waist.

Looks fantastic! You will get so much wear out of this... a true closet staple!

I like this one more too. It looks great.

Thanks everyone - Joy - I will try and remember to measure the length tomorrow morning and post it here for you! Angie - you were right (as usual).

Julie, I have this skirt too. I bought it a couple months ago and have been wearing it a lot. It's a great "basic skirt."

It looks beautiful on you and I hope you keep it! The dark wash is so smart looking, but it's nice that the skirt can translate to a more casual look (especially if you remove the belt.) I love the way you've paired it with the blouse.

Joy - I have a size 4 and the length is 22". I really do like it and agree with Kari that it's a great basic skirt.

I like this one better, too. Looks so great on you!

I’m glad I got to see the original BR skirt irl at DFS. The AT one is SO much better. Thanks for following through on my suggestion :0)
