Ana posted that Jcrew is having an extra % off on their sale items, but the only problem is that everything is final sale! I have had good experience with Jcrew, but I still want to run these things by you ladies quickly. The offer ends tomorrow.

I am a slim inverted triangle. I have a strong shoulder line, 34DDD bust, a very small behind, and slim limbs. I carry most of my weight in my chest and a little in my stomach. My waist is about 27" and my hips are about 35" (if I'm measuring correctly).

I really like this jacket, but do you think it would work for me? In general, jackets are hard to fit because I get pulling around the bust. However, I often wear my jackets open at the top with layers for interest. I live in sunny California, so a short sleeve jacket is useful (although I don't own one).

I also really like this top. It would be a great layering piece for me. Do you think it would work? Or do you think it would hang off the largest part of me (my bust) and not be flattering?

Has anyone tried these pants, or anything similar to them. I really like that it has back flap pockets, as they will add a little more volume to a place I'm definitely lacking. Any experience on their fit will be very helpful. Also, what color do you recommend? There are three grey colors - which one looks the sharpest, and will complement a wardrobe with a lot of blues, pinks, greys, creams, and silver.

Oh, one more thing. What does the H stand for on the shoe sizing. What is a size 8H versus just a size 8? So sorry if this is a stupid question.

Hi Lissy, Is the belt removable from that jacket, do you know? My only concern is that as a busty as you are, if that belt sits just below your boobs, it's going to make you look saggy. (At least that is a problem I run into with belted jackets.) But I'm not as small as you elsewhere, so that may not be an issue. It may also depend on how tall you are, and if you're a bit longer waisted than me.

I think the citron sleeveless top is adorable and would look cute. It may hang off your bust, you could have it taken in at the waist perhaps. The rouching or gathers around the neck should be flattering for your bust.

I don't know much about the pants, but they are cute and I would wear them.

I think the H is a specialty width--which would be VERY wide.

You're spot on in your suspicions about the piper tank. It is very blousy, and has an a-line shape (not tailored). If you have a very large bust, I think it would be unflattering. I am a C cup and took a pass on it for this reason.

The jacket *might* work, but here are a few thing to think about--the silhouette is very boxy. I have a strong shoulder line as well, and if you get a size that is large enough to comfortably accommodate your shoulders and chest, it might be very big everywhere else. If you wore it open, this would really emphasize your top half, which if you're an inverted triangle might not be what you want. It is short, so you might be able to pair it with an a-line skirt to balance this out, but it's difficult to tell without seeing you or seeing it on you, it could be great.

The pants are city fit, which is my favorite fit. I have some shorts that are that fit, and they say "lowest rise," but J. Crew's traditional rise basically comes up to my belly button. My shorts have about an 8.5" or 9" rise, which I really like, and feel most comfortable in. This comes to about an inch under my belly button. I like the graphite color best, but I'm not sure that color is on sale.

The H in the shoe sizing means it's a half size. For example, 8H means size 8.5.

Also, the online sale will probably continue for a little while longer, or you might see some of those styles pop back up at the next online sale. Right now, stores are packing most of their sale stuff up and shipping it to the warehouse. These styles will be added to the online sale, so if there is something particular you are looking for, keep checking the website.

I echo the gals, Lissy. The belted jacket is tricky (but a gorgeous colour), and the top lacks structure around your waist. Pants look worth a bash.

However, the jacket sans the belt could work. Hard to say unless you try it on.
