JCrew belle skirt arrived in mail--who else has this?

Here is the JCrew belle skirt in cotton taffeta gray. I only want to keep it if I will get a ton of use out of it.

I am wearing my new Brass Plum Camisole with it. I would probably always wear a cardi or cami and jacket over the skirt or a black turtleneck over it.

PS The bra I have on is only because my good one is hanging to dry. This bra shows lines where I don't need lines. It is a GAP convertable bra.

The skirt is a size 8 and I think I may need a 6 or not keep it at all?

What do you think? I love my new camisoles. Thank you Angie for the suggestion.

It's very difficult to say from this picture. My first thought is that it looks juvenile. Do you like it?

i like it, but it might be a touch short. it doesn't look big, but thats probably because it is already a voluminous skirt. is it too big in the waist? if you do decide to keep it, id suggest styling it with a denim jacket, some chunky beads, and metallic flats. maybe we need to see it styled as you would typically wear it?

I can't really tell from the photo about the size. I think it's a lovely skirt and would be nice for more casual days. I have an American Apperal skirt kind of like that but it's (gasp!) knit. Sorry, Angie. I like to wear it with a demin jacket layered with a t-shirt and run around town. I may, however, be breaking all kinds of rules but it's really comfortable and I'd guess this would be, too.

The length looks okay to me but I can't tell if the waist fits with the cami over it. I wonder if wearing a slim top like the cami or black turtleneck tucked in and belted would work with this skirt (then the jacket over that).

HL, can you reshoot the photo? That one is very out of focus and dark. And I agree, try the photo with something you'd wear with the skirt. Like a jacket or cardi.

HL - I like the skirt but I do think that it would look better with the top tucked in. Having the top over the gathering of the skirt makes it look poofier and doesn't show off your waist. Does it have a band waist?

yes AJ it has a wide band at the waist and is supposed to sit on the hip. I took a picture with my top tucked in and don't know what happened to it. I will fix it.
I think someone at YLF has this skirt and said they love it.
