Onesie. Hilarious :). Now I have cheekbone ache. Love that, Rae.

Claudia, you are right! Pantone is declaring Green, but White is the biggest colour for Spring/Summer 2013. Followed by Blue - is my take after watching all the shows. I am sticking to my guns.

Kelly, your thoughts are always meaningful. Don't think otherwise.

Tex, "trying too hard". That's interesting. I don't get that impression at all. What gives you that impression?

Here's another angle of the outfit. LOVE the cut of the coat.

Much better from this angle, but I still want to rip out that oversweater.

hehe...I like the low v of the sweater

Becky you are very cute

Huh, I'm liking the low v of the sweater too--gives sort of a vest (waistcoat) vibe. I think the large expanse of white is throwing off some folks, and could see how a button up would look great.

I really like the menswear vibe; her handbag looks like a briefcase.

Amy, I also like the deep v-neck -- and the dijon yellow color.

I love the booties, they are Chelsea - 1960s Beatles looking to me. I want to find a pair.

Interesting interesting. A good, not a great, eh?

To me it's par for the course French chic. My thought about the turtleneck was that it wasn't the finest one I'd ever seen; that she could have found herself a sharper one. And, of course, I really don't like white. White looks unfinished to me, like just the primer coat. Most of the time. And this is one of those times.

You nailed the booties, Claudia! 60's mod!

Scenes from the 1966 film Blowup, white jeans and black Chelsea booties.

In fact he's got the navy blazer and black bag too I think!

Thanks, Isis!!! And the pants Ines is wearing are like in the 60s what were called "drainpipes."

Can this woman ever look bad? That turtleneck with the v neck is so 70's. I love the coat too. She looks great, even the turtleneck she can pull off.

I am wearing cotton turtlenecks again too, but haven't done it with v neck yet...and where are the dickies? :)...just kidding!!

Love the Blow Up stills!

SO fun to see those '60s pics, Isis! Although Beatles booties are flatter - no? Or was the ladies version with a low heel. I think today - we can wear both!

Rachy, I am going to stick up for white almost every single time :). And I'm ordering a white jumpsuit for your birthday.

Beatles photo with heel profiles:

I love the outfit, minus the white turtleneck. I'd love to see it with a white button down, maybe in silk for some nice drape.

Love the booties! Instantly thought Beatles Chelsea too--super fab right now! I did some investigating of the Chelsea Beatles booties recently, because I just bought a pair that are reminiscent, from Fluevog of all places. The classic Beatles boot had a center seam, a pointy toe, those elastic insets, and a Cuban heel.

I LOVE those Beatle Booties! The perfect heel height pour moi. Ohhh! How fun to be inspired by blokes fashion from the '60s.

I've had these booties on my radar forever:

Love your new booties, Jonesy!

Lol, Angie! No no, not white! Hehe.

Not just white, Optic White!

I haven't read all the comments yet, so here's my immediate reaction. I love the outfit, and I really like that she's wearing white jeans (I'm assuming they are jeans) in winter. Next, I love the combination of blue and black, and I like her booties, bag, and coat quite a bit. I'd probably only make one change. If I kept the v-neck pullover, I'd put it over a white shirt, or I'd wear a black pullover/turtleneck only. Now off to read the comments.

I honestly have no idea who this woman is and The Google Machine is telling me precisely nothing.
Who is Ines?

Not reading the other responses first, so as to not be swayed! I don't aspire to her style, but I do admire many of her looks.

The coat, jeans and boots I am totally on board with! But I really don't like the white turtleneck in this look -- it swings the outfit into the preppy zone I have avoided ever since high school. I guess I have a poison eye for the white turtleneck worn this way because I knew more than one woman who used white turtlenecks as a crutch under every color of crewneck sweater, etc.

I think the turtleneck is also bothering me because so much of it is visible under the deep neckline of that mustard sweater, and mustard is one of my least favorite colors anyway. Switch out the turtleneck for a button-front shirt, and I'd like it a lot more.

The only part I'm unsure of is the black booties. I'd do the petty snake or even ink blue. I'm pretty alone liking the marigold gold sweater. I do think the super low vee is not quite right with the turtleneck. I wore this top combination a ton in the 90's though, my favorite formula = turtleneck under low vee tunic and pencil skirt or leggings (or tight jeans - we didn't have skinnies yet or they weren't called that). In the early 2000's I switched out to higher vee neck and a stripe crewneck tee underneath. Now I am saved by YLF.
I'm seeing a lot more yellow than usual so I think that's making a big play this spring.

I'm with Rae, this has sort of a onesie/unitard vibe to it. I never thought particularly about having an anti-white turtleneck bias, but perhaps I do?

Janet, perhaps because we share a basic geographic area (Mid Atlantic) people wear the white turtlenecks like a uniform and that's why I just can't stand them.
Your use of the word "crutch" completely articulates my feeling about them.

Those are some gorgeous boots/booties, Angie! I am loving the pointy toe action.

I also have a MAJOR poison eye for white turtlenecks...not sure where mine comes from, but it's very strong :). I know that when I was a kid/young adolescent, a white turtleneck underneath a crewneck sweater, with a gold chain necklace draped over the turtleneck (coming out of the neck in the shape of a V, if that makes any sense), was the go-to look. Maybe I've never gotten over that association. They just seem so dated and frumpy to me. I guess I don't really like any sort of cotton turtlenecks, unless they are black.

Remember wearing a turtleneck to school/class or in front of your parents when you needed to cover a hickey up back in the day?

HMMM. Maybe I just don't get enough hickeys these days. Maybe all of these women in white turtlenecks are getting action and staying WAY below the radar.

Moira and Jonesy, YES! I totally have that same association, Jonesy! Just add a pair of wide-wale corduroys and a ribbon headband...

LOL at Claudia!

I'm also not a fan of the white turtleneck. But I like the rest of the outfit.

I just can't seem to wear white bottoms. It always makes me feel upside down and reminds me of the older overly tanned ladies on the Gold Coast in Oz.

Had to come back to see the responses. How interesting! Angie , the boots you posted are divine. I still find the pointy, yet squared off toe on Ines' boots a tad dated. Are those back in style?

Shoot, I wear cream turtlenecks. Does the collective poison eye includes cream?

I'm late to the party and skimmed the responses. So are we assuming that Ines is covering hickies with her white turtleneck?!
