Hi everyone! I think it's been over two months since I posted here, wow! I've been reading the blog, though! I just wanted to check in and say hi. I'm working today at a conference with free wi-fi so I'm hoping to get a bit of posting and commenting in and catch up a teensy bit.

The Chickadee (my baby daughter) is almost 6 months old now and her adoption will be legally finalized in the next few weeks! She's the My life has changed so much in so many ways... and also not at all. I'm having a great and challenging time settling into life as a mom-on-the-go. My husband finished his MA and started his PhD and I wrapped up one of my two part-time jobs and am basically finished with the other (the one I'm working at right now) and will soon be focusing full time on being a mom and a writer.

I feel like I've found a good groove in terms of my style as a mom-on-the-go and actually have been wearing some of Angie's fall formulas for the last few months. Jersey dresses with tight or leggings or dark jeans with a simple top, plus comfy, attractive flats, boots or fashion sneakers, CZ stud earrings, my white watch, a teething necklace of some sort, a hobo bag or a small sleek backpack, and my babe in a pretty, colorful woven wrap. I will post more about some of this stuff in another thread :)

TODAY, though, I got to dress up a bit :) so I'm wearing a black and white graphic print wrap dress, 100den black tights form H&M, my black bow ballet flats by Marc Jacobs, a chunky red necklace, and a short sleeved boiled wool black jacket, and my red patent tote. Crazy times! ;D

Anyway, I just wanted to check in, say hi, and that I have been thinking of YLF and all of you during this very new and busy time in my life. I'm hoping to be able to come in and read and post at least once or twice a week from now on.
