wonderful, heartwarming pics. Congratulations Rae!

I'm also not married (yet!) and this post has been a joy to look at. Keep it coming! Congrats Rae!

Congratulations Rae!
I love seeing all of your photos.
Joining the parade , here I am in 2004 with groom and my parents. It is not the best picture but it is what I have in the computer.
Yes, I was blonde . And the red attire of my mother says a lot about her fashion personallity.

Not the best picture-of-picture, and you can see my hand and camera reflected in the glass of the frame, but at least you get an idea of what my dress looked like... This was 2003 and it appeared impossible to find a wedding dress in the shops that wasn't sleeveless and strapless - one of the reasons why we ended up making mine instead. ETA to add second pic.

Dear Rae, all the best. To quote Antoine de Saint-Exupery "...love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction." Love each other and have a happy, long life together.

Here is my wedding dress.

Sorry I'm late, but I do have pictures! We celebrated 35 years this summer. I think mine are the oldest here. Congratulations, Rae and groom! I hope you had a perfect wedding day and have an even more perfect, happy marriage.

Oh Cjh those pics made me tear up.

These are all so great! Fun fun fun to see the span of years and fashions.
@Lori I've been to a wedding on that boat, but it was a rainy day so not so much fun as yours looks!
1. We got married on the beach in Hawaii in July 2003
2.Reception (September 2003) - YES got to wear my dress Twice!
3. Lao ceremony back home (same day as reception) - My mom "accidentally" turned of the AC and it was HOT that day so we are sweating like crazy

And wishing Rae many happy memories and a perfect day today!

What was it, Sona? The baby blue tux?? Or maybe the velvet bow tie? The groom is still very cute, though his outfit is way outdated.

CONGRATS RAE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *throws confetti* *and rice* *blows bubbles*

I don't have any of my wedding photos digitalized so i can't share but i loved looking at all of these!

Rae wishing you and hubby a life full of wonderful moments that treasured memories are made of. Blessed congratulations.

Hubby and I were married in 1983. Sorry none of the pics are digitized so crappy blurred pics.

My dress was off white.

First pic is of hubby's family and second is just a stand alone with my dress and bridesmaids boquets. who knows why photographers take the pictures they take...lol.

The flower girl in the first picture is my niece who is getting married in October.

OOps. Forgot to add that everyone looks absolutely gorgeous. It's wonderful to see all these happy couples and people on their so important day.

I *love* weddings. Everyone looks absolutely beautiful. What a treat to see you all looking utterly content and ravishing. It makes my heart so happy

(Here are Greg and I on our wedding day in 1996. I designed my own dress: http://youlookfab.com/2009/12/.....day-style/)

CONGRATULATIONS, RAE!!!

You have been in my thoughts. Greg, Rosie, (Jasmine) and I wish you and hubby every happiness. May your life be filled with health, wealth, love, laughter and lots of cats.

Angie xoxo

Rae, best wishes for your special day! May it be filled with joy, happiness and love!

My wedding pictures from 1989 are awful in quality! My dress was made by my mom - all what was available then were these full skirted crinoline-like dresses which I did not like at all. We found some white fabric (I think it was for curtains :-)) and my mom made the dress - was finishing it on the morning of the wedding. You cannot see it properly in the old pictures but the sleeves and neckline insert were made of veil fabric in contrast to the solid dress.

Super congratulations to Rae. Hope your wedding was fabulous. Best wishes for your future.

This is the only "digital" copy I have from our 1998 wedding pics (a pic of a pic). Forgot to add how much I love looking at all the wedding pics. We had a very casual/rugged wedding so I needed a simple sheath dress. I still like it but regret the deep slit in front; it makes me cringe!

So fun to see everyone's dresses! I have to admit that not only am I not married and not actively looking to be . . . I've never dreamed of what kind of dress I might wear. Never crossed my mind once. Guess I'm not a very traditional gal, huh?
Congrats to Rae!!

PLONK really does not describe it. This thread is so heartwarming and thoughtful - huge thanks to AJ for starting it -- and to everyone who commented and shared their gorgeous wedding pics!

AJ, that train is simply awesome. You look like a fairytale princess in that gown!

Rachylou, a blue dress would be super pretty - and probably cheaper, now that I've seen the dress market...

MaryK, the boots do get me every time - your reddish hair, too!

Sona, you and the hubs make a gorgeous couple, and those rich colors are fantastic and flattering.

Mellllls, your figure is just bananas in that dress... killer.

Katiepea, that dress is the definition of elegance. The back is just dreamy.

Lori, you look wonderrul (of course), but the story about including hubs' father is too sweet. LOVE it.

Aida, the dress... the pose on the stairs... the off-kilter cake! It's all so very YOU. Everyone's radiant.

Bella, OMG, those lashes! So pretty with the veil. I think you should be a veil model!

Celia, what a change to see you as a blonde! Your mom's red outfit is very festive and fun.

Rhubarbgirl, those sleeves turned out perfectly. Very ladylike and pretty.

O, love those simple, clean lines. SO chic.

Tracina - your short dress is so fun!

cjh... 35 years? That is just. so. beautiful. I'm crying, here. You both look so happy!

Jjsloane, I love the progressive wedding thing you had going on. Both outfits are killer, and that blue sash really brings out your eyes. You and the hubs are adorable.

Freckles, your high neckline has really caught my eye - haven't seen anything like it in my recent search. Very elegant and romantic IMO.

Angie, that ladylike dress gets me every time.

Sveta, I love your sheer sleeves, and your hubs has a great jawline!

Kappy, your neckline is fantastic. Very flattering, yet clean and simple.

Here are my contributions to the thread -- I could not decide which ones to go with (I have about 300 to sort thorugh!), so that is why there are so many.

1-3: Todd and me making things official, then having our "first dance."
4: Dad, sister, and me.
5: Todd and me hamming it up for the wedding video, pretending to jam to the song Todd wrote as my wedding gift. :_)
6: Shot from a post-wedding photoshoot my dad did for us up in a local ghost town. Please excuse the yet-unretouched armpit...

Rae, congratulations! You two make such a cute couple. And you look absolutely KILLER in that dress...it's perfect! Glad everything went well and that you found a dress you liked. Best wishes for the start of your grand adventure together!

Rae, congratulations! You look beautiful. I wish you and your new husband every happiness xxx

Rae, I knew it: you made a beautiful bride! I am so glad you had your hair down: it looks very YOU.
Congratulations to you and Todd!

Oh my goodness, Rae! You and Todd look KILLER to the power of KILLER. I love, love, love the photos!! They are *magical*.

I adore your wavy long hair too. You couldn't have looked more stunningly beautiful.

Now excuse me while I recover from your sizzling wedding style quotient...

Oh, Rae, I am overcome looking at your photos!!! What a stunningly beautiful bride you are, what a fantastically beautiful wedding!!! Wishing you every happiness in the days and years ahead!!!!!

Congratulations Rae!
The pictures look like you had a wonderful time

MASSIVE CONGRATS RAE. You & Todd look incredible. Thanks for sharing your photos. I hope you are still basking in post-wedding warm fuzzies!!!

Stunning photos Rae! You look absolutely gorgeous, both of you! And your hair is fabulous too. Congratulations!

Congratulations, Rae! You look lovely, and together what a handsome couple! And I love the picture of you with your dad and sister!

Where's the location? Above Laguna Beach?

Wow Rae!

Congratulations once again. Thanks for sharing the photos of your special day. You are both so beautiful and handsome, like models. And you obviously have fab genes, those big, beautiful smiles are a family trademark!

No.6 is just about the coolest wedding photo I have ever seen. The way you two are in your own worlds, yet leaning towards each other... the feeling of togetherness is simply mesmerizing.
