J. Crew makes a cardigan called "The Jackie Cardigan" and I've seen it available in white at the store just last week. It's cotton and 3/4 sleeves, great for summer:

shana, If you have the time to pop in to NY&Co, they have a bunch of very fine guage light weight, cropped, elbow length sleeved cardis. And most of them are on sale (lingering past the end of season sales).

Thanks all for the great suggestions. I forgot to add that I also would prefer v-neck and there are several in the list but I would also settle for a crew or scoop neck like the express one if I couldn't find a good v-neck.

Ana, I *am* a student (part-time and only 3 classes left to go!) so I would be eligible for the student discount - yeah! I actually own 2 no, 3 jackies and honestly, I would never pay full price for them - have yours held up well? Mine really have not (at least not the ones that I wear often - I have a print one that seems fine but I have only worn it a couple of times).

Anyway, this is kind of a workhorse for me and seeing how my other one fell apart after a month or two of wear, I'd rather spend less and replace more often. Plus, I figure white cardigans must be on sale now that the season is ending!!

I am heading to the mall tomorrow so I will be sure to leave no retail stone unturned - express, NY&CO, gap, old navy and talbots are all on my list.
