Lovely, beautiful Ornella - you do indeed have so much heart and warmth. The world is a much better place for it, esp. YLF.

!!!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Happy birthday to the divine Ms. O! You are a wonder in so many ways - juggling house-building, motherhood, fashion and the Secret Santa exchange here with panache. You're a Commentatress beyond compare, and a perfect example of someone who embraces their life and body and style with grace and gusto. We could not survive here without you. Enjoy your day!

Blessings on your special day, Ornella! I hope you have something particularly enjoyable planned with your family and friends! Wishing you the best year of all in your new home!

Happy birthday, Ornella! I appreciate your warmth, generosity, and eye for detail, and am really glad I was the one lucky enough to come after you in the challenge chain this spring. Hope you're enjoying your new place!

I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Ornella! I have such an admiration for your fabulously confidant (and beautiful) style, and how much enjoyment you take from the journey! More than that, I really appreciate how you put everyone at ease with your warmth (particularly when we are new here and nervous about posting and commenting). Your words and kindness never fail to have an impact on all of us. Thank you so much! Happy happy birthday!

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Ornella! You are so fun to have around here, and so inspiring. My first impression of you is from the movie poster challenge that you organized. I loved your moderation of the challenge, your wise and witty comments, and your clever, creative poster-inspired outfits!

Happy Birthday lovely, delightful Ornella. I think you are the definition of a gentlewoman for me. I just made that up- I hope it is seen as a compliment! Anyway, you are thoughtful, sensitive, patient, and kind to say nothing of beautiful, stylish and super fun! I hope you had a wonderful day.

Happy birthday, Ornella!

Angie :: it's unbelievable you've had time for this thread this week. I cannot thank you enough for your thoughtfulness. You keep finding new ways to amaze me over and over again.

And to all of you, wonderful, magical women...

thank you so much for adding extra joy to my day and please excuse me if I don't get to thank you personally. I hope I live up to your words and enjoy your friendships for many years to come. This was my 42nd birthday, which I always thought to be bigger milestone than the 40th, because as Douglas Adams wrote in "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy": “The Ultimate Answer to Life, The Universe and Everything is... 42!”

This birthday came exactly 10 years after my husband and I had moved in to our then-home, the first one we owed, when he said "Well, I can't really top this birthday gift, so no more gifts from now on.'" Nice try, buddy. I did not ask for any special gifts this year, but am saving that spot for when I find something I really like, want or need... or save enough for (new camera, I'm eyeing you.) Although, my son thinks I really, really, r.e.a.l.l.y need one Lego set just for myself, with the house, tree, small garden... and, you know, he'd help me build it just in case I get stuck. Nice try, little buddy!

One gift I got - the one from myself - is a book I bought this summer and was waiting for the birthday to start reading it because I knew it would touch me deeply and because it's written by the young woman from my hometown (and even my old neighbourhood, as I figured out), so reading it was partially like walking once again towards being 42 and trying to find out the answers to Life, The Universe and Everything.

The day itself was quiet for me personally, dealing with the contractors who are still on the site, but hubby and I managed to sneak out for a quick coffe at our favourite place.

We did not celebrate yesterday, but will this weekend, when the cake with lots of chocolate and hazelnuts will be served. And we plan to go to the big open toboggan in the hills nearby for the family celebration.

I also received a lot of messages, some from friends and people I haven't heard from for years. Warm fuzzes overload and wonderful start of the new year of my life.

Thank you again for all the wonderful, touching messages and for making YLF my only real on-line home. As my gift to you, here is a fab find from when I googled "42". Is there a better place to practice #20 than YLF?

Happy birthday Ornella! You have a special place in my hearth

Sounds like you had a nice actual day, and will have some more fun this weekend. Love when birthdays don't end. Enjoy your "ultimate" birthday Ornella! Look forward to your return, when the craziness ends.

I'm surelly too late, but soo happy I didn't miss this one!

Dear Ornella,

happiest from all the happy Birthdays!

May your birthday weekend (and new house) be full of joy, happiness and love!

42 is only another start!:-)

Hope you'll keep exploring (and pls. let us know if finding out) the answers to Life, The Universe and Everything (including fashion and style:-)). YLF would never be the same without you, for sure! So, we are eagerly waiting you back when life is slowing down a bit in your neck of woods!

Hugsxox.

Happy Birthday Lovely One! You give so much joy to everyone. Thank you for sharing yourself with YLF.
