Oh Angie, I second every single word the ladies have written here. You are truly special, and that is -- I'm 1000% sure of it -- the "secret ingredient" that makes YLF special too. You are immeasurably knowledgeable about all things fashion and style, and share that knowledge generously with all of us day in day out, without expecting anything in return. And you do it with incredible patience and a supportive and positive attitude that is unparalleled. You never force your own opinion on someone else, never push us when you feel we are not quite ready yet to take another -- big or small -- style step. But you intuitively feel when we are ready, and then you are there to hold our hand, guide us gently and cheer us on with genuine delight. You respect and appreciate all our individual preferences, little quirks and different style aesthetics, and you continue to inspire me (and, I'm sure, all other Fabbers too) with your "have fun with fashion and celebrate the gorgeous individual that you are" motto.
And it's not just on the style front that you are unique and special. You just have that way about you that immediately puts someone at ease. You are an extremely thoughtful listener, practical and wise at the same time, and from every single thing you do and say it's crystal clear that you genuinely care about people. Plus, you are so endearingly modest that you'll probably deny all this is true;-) But we all know better, and today is the day that we celebrate special YOU!!-)
I still count myself lucky every day that I found YLF six years ago, and that we quickly became such close friends. I'm also super thrilled that I'll be able to hug you again in person very soon, and you'll absolutely get three birthday kisses then.
For the time being: happy birthday, gorgeous!! I've no doubt Greg will spoil you rotten on your special day, and that there will be yummy treats involved. And I hope you'll have tons of fun celebrating with friends.
