I agree with you unfrumped about bring proportion sensitive. I have in the past been mindful of what I wear.

Another lover of the "time to make the donuts" quote here

I used to set up outfits the night before like you and got up really early but I never did multiple days at once....good for you to plan ahead like that and I totally get that the military uniform thing must have been so much simpler. My outfits were not very interesting, same type of corporate/professional formula, but it worked.

When I first started working I remember a woman who was an exec secretary who was single, in her mid 20's, and lived with her parents. She told me she spent 3 hours every morning on hair, makeup, clothes etc. To this day I cannot fathom what she could have done that would have taken 3 hours, but it mattered to her and that's how she wanted to spend her time plus of course she was living the life of a child with nothing to do except dress up and go to work. Funny thing is that she was quite beautiful and would have looked great with no makeup and dressed in a potato sack.

I love your strategy, Ledonna and am in awe of your creativity. I end up in fast fallback outfits so often because I don't take the time to make outfits. I have the clothes, it's not that. Maybe I just don't feel justified in wearing great clothes because I work from my home office. I only tend to wear the beautiful things when I go out or when I'm on vacation. as I am now. Maybe I need a mental fashion reset.

I regularly do this with my work wardrobe too - it makes it easy to get dressed in the mornings, I have about 20 options at my disposal each morning. This allows me to dress with an eye at what the temperature is going to be and also giving me a choice depending on my mood. I do commiserate on your hellish commute and love how you take everything in your stride with grace and an amazing sense of fun and humour. You are an inspirational woman Ledonna.

This is SUCH a great idea. I, too, and in awe of your energy and ambition, despite your work schedule and being pregnant! I feel I am doing pretty well if I decide on an outfit the night before! Fortunately, the one thing YLF has taught me is to have more of my wardrobe coordinate than not!

I used to prepare a whole week of outfits when I was living in Buffalo, down to the accessories. After checking the week's forecast, of course!
Now I just prepare my clothes, accessories, underwear and shoes the night before, depending on the day's planned activities. I have no time to stand in front of my closet, and I'd wake up husband when he doesn't work morning shift.
Ledonna, you'll find your kind of organization extremely useful after the baby: some days you won't even want to think about clothes, and such system will be of great help.

Preparing has its + & - I love the feedback thank you.

Wow, I'm amazed at your organization, and what a smart thing to do. Will your drapey clothes work through your entire pregnancy?

Barbara Diane I've had to add some basic pieces and I'm thrifting maxi dresses for the spring/summer because I'm not a sundress wearer but I've heard it will be easier with the baby and breastfeeding. I'm on maternity leave for most of the summer.
