Thank you. Yes, we are relishing happy memories and giving lots of love to Blinkin.

Pea fishing is something many rats love-take frozen peas, put them in warm water, and see what happens. I started out with a shallow dish but graduated to this deep one. Boo would dunk her head right in! Blinkin hated getting her face wet so would flail around with her arms to try to grab a pea. So funny.

Aw, I'm sorry, Kari. It's so hard to let our little furry family members go. Big hugs.

I am thinking of you and so sorry .

Oh, I'm sorry. Boo had a wonderful life with you; the pictures tell it all! Enjoy Blinken; our rats did OK as singles when their mate was gone as long as they had a lot of time with us!

What a sweet memorial....virtual hugs...

Our vet gave us a super sweet memento with imprints of Boo's tiny hands. They were so kind to us.

Her sister Blinkin is doing really well. Kind of confused and at first she stayed away from the areas of the cage Boo was hanging out in during her final days, but she seems less tentative by now. We are spending a lot of time with her. Blinkin's tumor seems to be slow growing so far, thank goodness. It's about the size of a small grape when I feel it, but doesn't stick out so hadn't impeded her movement at all.
