Faux leather jacket NAS

Has anyone seen this in person and is it pretty? How does this compare to a moto jacket? Does this lack the edge of a moto jacket?

This is the one I bought at the NAS and I'm beginning to wonder if it is too edgey for my age?

I bought this trench in black, and now I see on the website the lusious blackberry color so I am wondering if the blackberry would be more pretty and equaly as versitile?

San - The moto jacket you bought looks great. I think it has just the right edge and with your beautiful new hair color and specs I bet it looks even better.

As for the trench, I've been eyeing that one also and wondering if the blackberry color would still work as well as the black. I hope Angie will comment. I was hoping to get a satin trench that could also work as a "dress up" coat and wonder if the blackberry color makes it a bit too casual for that purpose. The blackberry is a bit unexpected and would look great with black, but I want to be able to wear it for both purposes. Since you've tried this on, what is your opinion on the fit. Is it true to size? Did you buy an XS or a S? I'm only 5'3" so I would order in a petite.

I looked at the size of the black trench I purchased and it is a small. My choices would have been between a small or medium. I hope that helps you decide which is right for you.
Angie helped me choose the trench in the presale so in her opinion it is a well styled trench.
Now we need to get the color sorted.

San, would it be possible to have some updated photos of you in the moto and the trench, with you new hair color/do and specs? The moto jacket fit looks so superb. I don't think it is age inappropriate at all. Also, I find scarves can be a great way to soften an "edge". How do you feel in it?

Keep the ORIGINAL moto jacket, San. I don't fancy you in the ruffled pleather. Not your style. You look KILLER in the moto jacket. 100% age appropriate. I put my 69 year old client in a very refined moto jacket yesterday. Totally fab.

The blackberry trench is wonderful! I saw it yesterday. Would be just as versatile for your wardrobe.

Great, thankyou Angie and Judy for replying and getting me sorted out.
I will keep the moto jacket and go and have a look at the blackberry trench before it sells out. Things seem to be going fast at the sale.
I am trying to stay away from the harshness of too much black which the trench seems like a large expanse of.
I will post some updated pics of my new things with my new hair color and specs next week. When I got the pkgs in the mail, it was so hot I couldn't even think about trying the clothes and coats on.

You have to keep the leather moto jacket, San! It looks awesome on you. The faux one doesn't even compare.

I love the blackberry color for the trench. I think it would complement your new haircolor perfectly. I'd swap the black for the blackberry!

I agree about the jackets: the one you already bought looks GREAT on you. Don't return it.

I think the blackberry color of the trench coat is beautiful. I don't think you need to avoid black just because of your age, but the blackberry is a great color.

Me too Kristen, that is where I first saw the blackberry trench also.
I have just ordered it. When it gets here I will then need to try the black one that I have here now, and the blackberry one, and then post a pic for YLF approval.
Now the question is, what color of shoes, boots, handbag, scarf, looks best with the blackberry color? I know the congac leather looks good with a black coat. Does it also go with the blackberry? Should I treat the blackberry just as a black coat?

Oh, I am terrible about figuring out coordinating colors for jackets! I am struggling now with my new "taupe" leather trench.

For my mulberry wool coat, I am planning on wearing my black or brown boots and purses. I think the same will work with the blackberry.
