I have never purchase from Everlane. I find their website too confusing. I like a user friendly website. The size charts have been too hard for me to figure out, and I have to agree with the article, I'm not likely to contact them with questions about sizing.

Scratchy is the kiss of death to me. I don't know what is going on with my skin, but I hear scratchy and it is an instantaneous "no-go."

I'm a 10 on top, large busted, 12 on bottom, and I have some sweaters and tees (u-neck) all in L that work for me. I haven't tried their pants, but they do show them on different size models which is nice. I agree they top out around size 12, but so do many mainstream brands.

Also, their shoes and bags are a great value.

I have gotten the wrong item from them, multiple times, so that is definitely a quality problem in their fulfillment.

They have also agreed to credit me for repairing a hem that came down after the first washing (on delicate, hung to dry, per instructions) which was nice, although I had to send them a photo of the itemized receipt, which for less than $20 to make a customer happy seemed kind of bitchy.

I used to swear by their U-neck tees, but I find that they wear little holes easily from rubbing on my jeans (like, after one wear)...but lots of tees do this and i've realized I have to half- or full-tuck to avoid this. The U-necks are more a-line in shape, so even though they are thin, they don't show much skin because they float away from the body. Honestly, if they had better colors for my coloring I might buy them again (they are so drab. I can only use so many grey or white or black tees).

On the customer service tip, I haven't decided if this is a pro or con, but they have a system where they've linked to my facebook account, so I get my shipping notices and everything as a facebook instant message. The plus is, I had a specific question about how returns work, so I facebook messaged them and got an easy answer right back. So far I think I like it, but I'm certain I'd be incredibly annoyed by it if all retailers moved to facebook im'ing me for everything.
