Every Easter we drive up to Bryan's parent's to spend it with the family. We start the day by attending a service at their church, and then have a dinner and do the whole Easter egg hunt, etc.
I've had my eye on this dress since it came out, and now it's at the Rack, even more reduced than the Nordstrom site.
My question is, I feel like that much cleavage is too much especially for church. Is there a way to fill in that gap that wouldn't look odd?
I'm sure I'd wear a light jacket or sweater because by then the a/c will undoubtedly be on. I was thinking a cropped medium wash denim jacket. But that doesn't address the cleavage issue.

How about a silky cami matching either the colour of the waistband or the dress itself?

How about a pretty orange scarf tucked in around the neckline, almost like the collar of a shirt ? You could pin it down with a colorful pin at the tip of the V to hold it in place. Or, like Michelle Obama, use 3 color coordinated pins along the v neck to hold down the scarf.

But I would do something lighter and more sheer for Easter.

Lovely dress. Have many dresses with a lot of cleavage. I use the"second base" (one of Angie's post), this made my life so much easier, I have a black and a white one!

I'd look for a white cami with lace, or one of those bras with the lacey cover there that we were talking about in Maya's thread about cleavage.

Great suggestions, thank you! I think I'll try my white lace cami with some big orange beads to fill in the space. I'll probably pop on my medium wash cropped denim jacket and some nude heels. I'll pick up the dress soon and post pics for y'alls input.
I just wanted to make sure I had some options before I bought it. I'm probably more sensitive to bare skin than I should be, but I never really know what is or isn't appropriate.

I vote for an oversized flower brooch pinned to the bottom of the V.

You can remove it after the church if you like.

I have a dress in the exact same shape and I have to admit, I also feel too naked if I wear it on its own. But then on really warm days, cami or scarf is not a good option either. A flower pin was my solution.

I just want to say how smart you are to start looking now! I never think of my Easter outfit until oh, about 11 pm on Saturday night. I have already starting thinking about Easter outfits for my son and daughter, but I completely forget I will want a nice dress. So thanks for the inspiration!

And, I love the dress. Love it. I think it will look great. I personally would probably do a camisole minus the lace, for me personally the lace would be too much. I think a simple plain cami would be fine and I love the idea of the necklace you mentioned to bring the attention back to the outfit.

Kristen Wiig is impersonating Katie Lee Gifford on SNL. She is wearing your Trina Turk dress! She must have it slightly altered to fit her bust (particularly had the middle of the V sewn shut), but I realized that the cleavage doesn't look too much at all! It looks very demure. It's a gorgeous dress, so go ahead and buy it if you haven't already!

Wow, thanks so much Bella! That helps a lot. I have a bra that has no padding and actually separates (thank you Nordstrom sales girl who suggested I needed one like that!). I'll give that a try and sew the cross over part closed and see what that does.
I found another dress that I might wear to church because I won't have to fuss with the bust. But Bryan doesn't really want me to return the Trina Turk dress because he reallyreally likes it. I think there are plenty of other appropriate occasions where I can wear it. I may still wear it for Easter, but at least I have another option just in case.
