CM microcheck pants, take 2 (sz 12)

I was able to exchange the too-tight size 10 Club Monaco microchecks for size 12s. What do you think--are these keepers? Remember, only truly great items get to stay in my small wardrobe. I don't mind if I have to return them.

I do have to pull the waist tabs as tight as they'll go to make them fit, but I can always have them taken in if I need to.

I've started a blog for this stuff because Photobucket hates me and keeps crashing my browser.

Brianna - I think they look great. The fit much, much better through the thigh & butt. I see that they are a tiny bit big in the waist when you lift your shirt, but it doesn't look like they gape at the small of your back, which is always a deal breaker for me.

You make me want a pair!! I say keep these ones.

I'd say keep as well. They lay much smoother across the front and fit much better in the thigh. It looks like only the waistband is too big, which is an easy fix at the tailor if adjusting the waist tabs doesn't do it for you.

Brianna, I like these a lot better too. The first pair was doing this weird whiskering thing that these don't. Since you're an hourglass, you'll be losing most of your weight around your midsection rather than your hips and thighs, so it makes more sense to me to keep these and just have the waistband altered.

Yay, this makes me happy. Whew, I now have 2 everyday pairs of pants. I wasn't exactly planning to shell out the cash, but a girl needs pants.

And Maya, you are so right about the weight loss. I WISH I lost from my thighs more than I do! I'm happy that my tummy tends to stay fairly flat and get more flat very quickly, though.

Brianna, I used to have proportionately big hips and a big butt compared to my waist, and I would complain about it all the time. Now that my waist has thickened, I'd give ANYTHING to have that figure again! I wish I appreciated it when I had it. I didn't realize how feminine it looked. Be careful what you wish for! I wouldn't change a thing about you.

Maya, you're the sweetest. I actually am very happy with my figure and wouldn't trade it for anything. My thighs are the only part that really bug me, but I can't complain.

When I looked at the first picture, I thought they were too big because the waist looks loose. But in all the other photos they look great, especially with your top covering the waistband. You could always get the waist taken in. I'd say keep.

Wow, those look GREAT! I would have totally taken the 10s off of your hands...
I've noticed that I have to go up at least 1 or 2 sizes in CM pants. I don't think they are the most friendly for my curves so I need to go up to compensate.

Hmm, I'm having second thoughts. I tried them on again today and seem to be experiencing some of the dreaded crotch bunching. I'll give them one more shot in a bit and see what I think then.

Yep, they're going back. I wore them around for about 20 minutes and they got saggy.
