BettyCrocker, Taste of the Wild is what I feed my pup, so I was planning to start with their cat food. Glad to hear it's vet recommended!

AG, now I'm imaging an epic cat migration from the UK to Alaska. hehe

Aida, my mom's cat doesn't play, so we'll see if mine wants to. I've met her now and she's a sweetheart, but I haven't tried any toys out yet! Luckily her foster mom said she loves wet food & isn't picky, so hopefully I'll be able to just to Taste of the Wild canned. As a long-time vegetarian (pretty much my entire adult life; I began at 16), I have to admit I'm a bit squeamish at the idea of grinding raw meat in my kitchen. But I'm sure that's a very healthy option! (Also, my mom's cat is a finicky eater too...wonder if the lack of interest in toys and food go together!) Anyway, I enjoyed hearing about your cat, and will be saving packing paper from now on.

Late to this post but wanted to say our cats all love these cardboard scratchers. One of my cats has claws and the other doesn't and they both love to scratch their claws/feet on these. Any brand is good....I just grabbed the first link I saw on the internet.
