Boot shopping: seeking advice

Calling all shoppers! Help me find boots that are:
-black
-ankle height
-suitable for rain
-funky / edgy
-will work with leg warmers a la Claire's "adjusted eyes"
-can be dressed up or down but particularly well-suited to casual / weekend / MOTG
-not looking for buckles / engineer boots (I have had enough of that look)
-heel height between 1" and 2-1/2"
-under $200

The photos show examples of what I have been looking at. Boots 1 through 4, 6, and 9 are actual contenders. I have pairs of 1 and 4 on the way to try out.

Boots 5, 7, and 8 are too high but are examples of the "funky/edgy" look that I seek. Boots 10 through 12 are examples of boots that I like quite a lot and which might otherwise be contenders, except I am hoping to find an alternative to buckles.

Note that the green and blue boots (6 and 9) are also available in black, but those colors are so tempting!

I like #1, #6, #9, and #11.
I saw a version of #11 today and it was fabulous with a skirt.

My favorites are 4 and 10. I love the subtle edge of 4. Even though 10 has buckles, they are very different looking that the standard buckle, very sleek.

I love 4, 8, and 9. And like the blue and green IN the blue and green.

I just got these on the recommendation of Krishnidoux. They are my first -ever heeled bootie. They are unbelievably comfortable. I could wear them all day no problem. #1 and #5 are jumping out at me as ones I would try. I think they are versatile and edgy. #4 I also like w/the stitching as it would lend itself well to casual and MOTG. Thanks for the post, I was just thinking about updating my black ankle boots.

I love 2, 6, and 9. I love buttons on boots--so Victorian. (These days, I guess the reference point is more steampunk. But I love how it manages to be edgy and feminine at the same time.)

So #2 and #4 are tied for the most number of votes, with #9 a close second. #4 arrived on Friday and I like them but didn't fall in love. As much as I like the idea of #2 something just didn't seem "me" about it - I think it was the turned-up toe - Instead I ordered one like it - consider this number 13 (same brand, fewer studs, but it has buckles...?!)

Will keep you posted with photos after they arrive!
