blue bag

Since I'm in need of a new bag for Spring, and one of Angie's must-haves is a blue handbag, I've been looking at blue bags. I've found one that I love, but I'm having a hard time deciding on color. One is "sky blue," and the other is "peacock blue." I'm kind of in love with both for different reasons. Which one would you pick?

Hmmm. I love both colors, too! I think I like the sky blue for spring a tad better. The peacock has a lot of green in it and while that's gorgeous too, if you're looking for blue, the sky blue might be more the right look.

Can you get both?

I vote peacock. That color is most similar to turquoise, which is big this spring!

Blue is my favorite color, so I like them both. I think the peacock is especially pretty and could work year-round. The sky blue has more of a spring/summer look to it.

Bethw, I like the sky blue for the same reason you stated. I like the peacock, because I think it would work better year-round. I think the teal shade looks fresh in Spring and works well in the fall too, so I guess it's more versatile. I'm not a big purse-switcher, so versatile is good for me.

They're both nice. I think it'd depend on what I thought I'd be pairing it with. I have a lot of more peacock tops and that might get kind of matchy-matchy. So maybe I'd go with the light blue. What kind of colors do you tend to wear?

I love both shades but am leaning toward peacock since, as you say, you could work it year-round. Plus, the darker shade will show dirt and wear less easily than the lighter shade. I guess it also depends on colors you like to wear, to a certain extent.

. . . from someone who has two blueish purses - one peacock and one greyed blue: I'd recommend looking at your wardrobe to see which shade works best with the season of clothes you plan wearing with it.

I like my peacock because I LOVE the color, but the green in it looks 'off' with lots of my clothes (I have many greens - apple to citron, so the greens don't all work together).

My blue is not too bright, so it blends nicely where the peacock doesn't.

Do you have a scarf or top or ?? in the proposed color(s) to hold against other clothing for a visual?

If you prefer jewel tones, I vote peacock too. But if you're after a clean crisp palette, I vote sky blue. Sky blue is a no- brainer with jeans. More versatile than the peacock I think.

I'm more of a clean, crisp girl...but I love jewel tones too! I guess I'll order both and hold them up next to outfits. Love how easy Zappos makes it!

MNsara, I have tons of greens in my wardrobe too (all shades). Good point. Peacock might look "off" next to those.
