The second belt is the most expensive and has enough hardware on it to anchor a boat, so it wasn't my favorite, though I understand why it is considered the most flattering. It isn't very versatile though, and definitely too expensive and less comfortable than the other two.
I actually did not mind the third one. It's not perfect but I didn't think it was that bad. It tapers in the middle and is plain but still interesting, and comfortable. Since I was wearing a long top, I didn't think it made me look THAT bad since the cardigan was elongating. But, then again, what do I know about this?
Not all of my shirts are conducive to belts, and especially now that the weather is warming up, there are not as many dark options. I'd rather have one versatile belt, but I guess that isn't possible.
I love this one and it's fake leather, but $29 is too much!

I'm honestly sick to death of belt shopping. It's even more frustrating than shoe shopping because at least shoe shopping is rewarding when you find the right pair. I'm still skeptical of how life-changing a belt will really be for me, but I'm curious to find out which is why I keep putting myself through this agony. I think I need a break though.
