Angie those huge busses were only a couple of blocks from my apartment. What a horrible disaster that could have been! If the city of Seattle would just break down and use de-icer, life would return to normal much more quickly...everyone could drive at least. I guess it's for the environment that they only use sand, but it's not effective really. Ok, I'll get off my soap box about that now...:)
I am loving the snow actually...it is all about having the right footwear and jacket! But I don't have little kids at home (any more)...I know how hard that can be!...or dogs to walk and I always walk to the store, so yes, I am just grateful every day for heat and hot water and that we can cook, after my parents four day power outage. Having grown up in New England in snow, I am comforted by the fact that our Seattle snow will be gone before too long and the white is so pretty. I love how quiet it gets when it snows too and how life slows down.
We've been watching season one and two of LIttle Britain...and then yesterday we discovered there was another Little Britain USA on HBO so we watched that too! It's completely hilarious and addicting.
