Are these shorts too short?

I bought these today at the Gap. I don't usually shop at the Gap. Are they too short for my age (almost 38)? Am I too old to shop at the Gap? They fit really well and they were dirt cheap, so I bought them.

I received my Anthropologie shirt today. I love it!!! It goes with so much. I thought it looked nice with the shorts I just bought. I'm debating whether or not too have the sides taken in so it's more fitted. Do you think it needs it?

I didn't include my face today. We just got back from the pool and I am a mess!

You have great legs! I don't think they are too short. I love the color of the top. It looks like maybe it would be better taken in a bit at the sides, but a little hard to tell due to the belt.

I think the shorts length is just fine for walking shorts. That's the length I prefer for myself. I am not sure about the top...maybe do as LauraElizabeth suggests and take a pic without the belt so we can see the difference.

I too can’t judge the silhouette of the top with the belt. It’s just fine belted though.

I had to laugh because from your post about short shorts, I expected the picture to be Daisy Dukes, but they were in fact very nice on you. Your legs are beautiful and you should show them off as an asset.

Me too! I expected very short ones. Those seem very appropriate. You've got great legs to show off, Shannon. Too old for the Gap? No, say it ain't so! I find it's more about choosing things that don't have too cute-sy a look, but I'm much older than you! There's probably a better word to describe it, though.

Shannon - I echo what everyone else has said - the shorts look fantastic on you. You have wonderful legs and those shorts are a great length for you. I also like the top. Can't tell if it the shirt needs to be taken in. I really like the color.

Thank you everybody. The shorts are a keeper. In fact I wore them today. They wear nicely. Lots of things I have purchased from the Gap in the past stretched out over time. These still look nice.

I will have to take a photo of my top without the belt. My Mother thinks I should leave it alone and my husband thinks I should get in taken in. My Mom thinks I wear everything too tight, while my husband likes everything tight. They rule each other out.
