Another Question about Boots

Inspired by Nicole's thread on boots, below are some possible fall boots that are available in my size and width. Would any of them work with skirts? Or if not, with what would they be suitable?

(I can see LOADS of boot blog posts in my future).

Yay! Boots in your size Becky! You are after casual boots, right?

These styles will all work with the right type of skirts. A knee-high boot for skirts has got to fit neatly along the calf. Nothing too wide, too long or too short. Calf-length boots are another story. These are VERY hard to pull off exposed. But a good look if the variables are right.

Yes, Angie, I am after a more casual look. I don't *think* I have to worry about calf-length boots; since my legs are so short, I'm worried some of these designed to be knee-high boots will actually come up too high. I want a boot that comes right to the "skinny spot" at the bottom of my kneecap. Is that what is considered a knee-high boot?

Quite right, Becky. I have knee high boots that come up at different heights. It’s got to work with your calf, style of boots and skirt. You have experimentation to do and we will help you :-)

I agree with Angie, I think it's very difficult to tell on boots/skirts how something is going to look unless one tries it on. Photos please! :)

Tanya, I don't actually have any of these boots. I will be ordering in Sept. (these will be my b-day gift from DH), and will post photos then.

Good idea. You are on the right track.
