Finding the items you need at the right price

Angie and San NAS #2

Angie and I each purchased one of these dresses. Angie got a black and I got a very dark purple smoke color. We each tried it over skinny jeans and felt it could be worked into many outfits, maybe even with leggings, or just as a dress. It is a very nice double knit fabric. I am sensitive to not dressing too young for my age, so I certainly do not want to copy Angie. I hope I have not crossed an age barrier by buying the same dress, but I know Angie would have told me if this was wrong for me.
The gorgeous necklace Angie bought in Hong Kong. Correct me if I'm wrong Angie.

Angie modeling the Adrianna Papell sheath, pg 22.
The second pic she has added a beautiful vest. Also notice the shoes Angie wore by Fly London, killer in looks, comfy enough to beat the Seattle streets.

This red and grey striped jacket Angie fell for but it has to be ordered in a size smaller for her. Isn't it just so Angie?

This Nanette Lapore jacket is not part of the sale but the sales associate brought it in to tempt Angie. It was super cute on her with it's unusual offset flounce in the back, but Angie passed on it for now.

This cute jacket I bought. I like it because it is unusual fabric and the way it is pieced gives a flattering shape to the waitline. It is also stretchy and comfy.
The dress under is a sheath dress in grey which Angie and I each purchased. I think it is Trina Turk. You will see more of it in the next post.

I was wearing the Cookie Johnson jeans in the last picture. They didn't work as well on me as they did on Angie. I do better with the Club Monaco Ella brand.

I think I raved on this jacket in the other post....just so excited for you ...I got confused !!:)

The dress looks super on you both! !!!

Posted 8 months ago

The jacket is stunning on you, San! And the deep purple dress too. I love the shape of it.

Looks like the two of you had a wonderful time together!

Posted 8 months ago

Oh, I tried that double-knit dress and it didn't look anything like that on me! You both look tremendous in it.

Hee, Laura and I loved that Lamb grey-and-red striped jacket but couldn't think of a suitable occasion to wear it. We didn't look half as good as Angie does in it, thought!

You guys look terrific, and it looks like you are going to sweep up this year, Sandy!

I love the dress you both got, San. It looks fab on each of you. Also adore that red/grey jacket on Angie. Your jacket looks like it fits you SO well, I love that.

You are killing me with these posts, though. Hanging out with Angie, fabulous shopping, sigh.

Oh, my gosh. You two look sooooooooo good! You are just CRUSHING the sale!

The double-knit dress and the striped jacket are particularly awesome, I think. The gray sheath dress is great as well.

Hmmm. I wonder if I could pull off that striped jacket.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgoues!!! I am sitting here going green with envy. You guys look smashing. LOVE the first dress, esp. in the purple you got it in san. Am so hoping things as lovely as this will pop up online (when?)!!!

Sandy, I haven't seen post #4 yet, but that last jacket on you just steals the whole show. Wow! But *everything* looks so fantastic on both you and Angie, not to mention your own clothes you wore to the store. Thank you, thank you Sandy for sharing the photos. Seeing you and Angie there so radiant is almost as good as being there myself.

(P.S. Oh how I want that Trina Turk sheath.)

I'm loving everything you both are wearing and want that grey sheath dress!
I noticed the animal print piece hanging behind you on a couple of the pictures. Is it the Entier Atelier on p 18?
Angie's necklace is just perfection with her glasses and those dresses.

San, that last jacket is so flattering on you and shows off your great figure. That leather jacket from the other post, though, must be your new signature piece. I'm in orbit, as Angie might say. Who makes the red/grey jacket Angie tried? That is quite the stylish piece.

Kristen, I tried on the cute sheath dress with the detail at the neckline that you bought and we decided it looked much better on you than it did on me.
Joy, I hope you do try the animal print sweater. I really love it in person and it looks very good over the Trina Turk dress. Unfortunately we didn't get a pic of that combo.
Medusa, I hope you get to try on the red and grey striped jacket.
Kyle,I cannot rememeber who makes the red and grey striped jacket that Angie ordered. It was in the designer section with Trina Turk and Nanette Lepore. She will probably chime in later.
Thankyou everyone for the feedback.

I love both of the dresses! My girl only brought me one dress so far, and it didn't fit well. It was DVF.

Which dresses were those???

Posted 8 months ago

lwc I am confused at how the sale is working at your store. We went into several areas to shop. These places were curtained off. We then went to a dressing room and our sales associate brought us our sizes to try on.
I don't remember the brand name of the first one. The second one is on pg 22 of the booklet, in a pretty blue color.

What a pleasure to see you two beauties model those amazing clothes :-) Love each and everything you have picked. I am so in love with the red and black striped jacket but I'm afraid anything like that will make me look like three times bigger on the top.

Posted 8 months ago

(You’re right San, that’s a HK necklace).

Sandy! I love the eggplant dress on you! A little black lace cami and your new specs and you are fabulous! And you know I think the black jacket cavalli jacket is KILLER. One of my fav things you purchased :0)

Wish I could take you ALL NAS shopping.

Posted 8 months ago

Wow, love the purchases. The dresses look great. San, I love the black jacket!

Angie, is there a way to see everything on sale if you don't go to the presale? I have the catalog, but it doesn't show all the items on sale.

Posted 8 months ago

I don't think so, Eva. It will all be available online on 17th July.

Posted 8 months ago

Love the dresses you bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want one for myself!!!!!!!!!!!
Perfect for the next season!
You rock it!

Posted 8 months ago

OMG these posts are so fabulous! It is such a treat to see you two in all these FAB outfits. And I love getting this preview of some of the NAS clothes modeled by real women :-)
Could you or Angie tell us what brand the first dress is (you both look super in it!!), and then what brand that super duper fabulouso jacket you (San) are wearing? I love it and it looks right up my alley. Merci!

Good to have you back, Antje! Those are “theory” dresses (that’s a British brand, I’m sure you know it). They are *quite*pricey.

Sandy’s eclectic jacket is a prêt a porter Roberto Cavalli. Sorry lasses, we went straight to the good stuff so you won’t like the prices. But as I have said MANY times, this is the time to splurge on THE BEST items because they are 40- 60% off and HOT OFF THE PRESS. No waiting around for end of season sales when the excitement isn’t quite as fun. If you come home with ONE item that you love, you've done well.

Sandy’s moto jacket is Kenna T.

I was not planning to hit the NAS but after seeing these pictures,
I'm there tomorrow.

I love that necklace Angie!!!!!

San, I am also more"mature" than most on this site.
Thank you for posting your picks, I have been inspired!

Angie I have to say it again... I love that necklace!!!
It looks wonderful with both dresses.

Posted 8 months ago

Fantastic Kellee. I'm so glad we have inspired you, and I'm so glad I got to shop with Angie and find out how to do the NAS in the proper manner. This is the time to get those big ticket items.
Angie's necklace IS KILLER. LOVE! Too bad we cannot have one because it came from Hong Kong! We'll enjoy it on Angie. She looks good in those angular things doesn't she.

Posted 8 months ago

You all are killing me with these fab purchases! The clothes fit like they were tailored for your bodies. You both look amazing!!

Posted 8 months ago

I love that Theory dress, but I'm pretty certain it's out of my price range. Darn it! I've tried on a jacket in that brand and it was so nicely made. Even though you have different body types and styles, you both look so good in it!

Posted 8 months ago

Of course I'm going to wait till I can see everything online, but more and more I'm craving that striped LAMB jacket. I love, love, love it. Like Angie said, I'd rather get ONE item I love than four or five that won't last.
*wanders off go to convince DH...."Angie said...."* :D

Posted 8 months ago

Thanks, Kellee and Devin. Nice to see you back on the forum!

Julie, perhaps purchase ONE killer dress instead of three really nice ones for the same price. The theory dress is great for your body type! Try it. Sarah has got the right idea. Don’t think quantity for the NAS – think one or two statement pieces. You can get loads of cheap stuff during the year anywhere else.

Hope you convince Bryan, Sarah! Let me know how it goes.

Posted 8 months ago

Angie - I will definitely try the dress at the sale. I'm not sure even one is going to fit my very very limited budget but we'll see. And, I do like the idea of getting one great statement piece.

Posted 8 months ago

Excellent! We'll probbaly have Laurel in it on Friday morning too :0)

Posted 8 months ago

I am so bummed I can't join you on Friday!
