a couple of outfits; need opinions

Hi ladies - hope you're having a good Sunday!

I purchased this denim jacket & skirt at a consignment shop recently. I'm considering altering the jacket - but not sure if I should keep it and invest in the alterations.

Here's outfit #1 - do you think this skirt works and would it be better if I had a belt with the tee? I don't think the proportions are right with the shirt & skirt.

Outfit #2 - also not sure about these pants. I love the color but do they fit correctly? And - any suggestions for tops etc.?

Julijuli -- I think the slight proportion issue you're perceiving with the tee and skirt probably would be addressed if you belted the tee, as you said. The tee seems slightly too long for the skirt, but slightly enough that a belt might fix it. Can you try that and post another photo?

The pants look like they fit correctly -- how do they feel? They meet the "just below the knee" length requirement. I can picture them with something in a black and white print, can you?

What great finds at consignment shop!
In outfit #1, I think the white top is too long for the skirt and jacket. A belt might help it or just a shorter top.

Outfit#2, I do like the suggestion of black and white with red. A white woven would be nice for summer maybe.

Fab finds, jj! Generally, you look wonderful. Well done.

I'm with the gals:

o can you scrunch the white top up a bit to shorten the length? Adding a belt will help too.

o The clams fit well. How about a yellow top? Black or white is always good.

Don't you just LOVE our glorious Summer Seattle weather!

Thanks Ladies - I'm going to have to try and find a belt that will work with the skirt, although I will also try just scrunching it a bit or finding something shorter. I'm glad you think the pants fit - yay! I'm going to look for either a yellow or b/w top to work with it. I'm not sure yellow is my color and have never worn it so that would be a good way to get out of my 'box' as well.

Angie - I'm in heaven. I've spent almost the whole day enjoying the sun.

Nice finds! I love the skirt fit and color. I think the top should be shorter, but the jacket is very cute. Cute clams too!

JJ, I am late, but both look awesome, great finds! From the pictures, I don't think alterations are necessary.
