I don't often post WIWs, but these two outfits have made me happy. For me happiness in an outfit is about that perfect balance of comfort, flattering silhouette, and feeling that the outfit speaks to my aesthetic preferences and personality... So here they go:
1. Tweed widelegs make me immensely happy. These are from Express from maybe 2012. Worn with a cable sweater from Ann Taylor that is beautiful but so ridiculously scratchy I need to wear it with turtlenecks. So I put an icy blue tissue-thin from J.Crew. Not sure if it looks good peeking out like this, but it did look cute on its own with the pants when I took off the sweater. Ankle booties are Impo (I posted about them a few weeks ago). I like the flared lines in both the top and bottom, like a pagoda.
2. Just got this sweater from H&M in the mail and it is sooo lovely: fluffy, warm but not heavy, soft, and I adore the asymmetry. They call the color burgundy but it really is more of a brown. They make a pretty salt-and-pepper but were out of my size. I wore it with a light pink top and skinny jeans (Old Navy extra skinny... what can I say, they are my favorite for fit and comfort). Not in pic: I wore them with grey pointy-toe low-heel booties with a scrunched shaft. (House is freshly clean so I left booties at the entrance.)
Shout out to the Off Topic Forum lovelies who helped me get my curls to their current happy state!
