WIW...high boots for first snow!

No snow day pics, and only an inch where I live, but the Big City got more. Trains were late and traffic was tricky. I dressed for work day comfort in:

#1 Hanna Highrise leggings - Marks Work Warehouse
Denver Hayes Soft cotton turtleneck sweater-MWWH
Black leather high boots - Franco Sarto

#2 close up of the leggings - velvet jacquard (crossovers from my party capsule)

I topped the outfit with a black Pea coat (Calvin Klein), black leather gloves, pashmina and carried a black Le Pliage Neo (great in the wet and holds my lunch bag!). Though I don't actually like wearing tall boots, this outfit felt comfy and fab.

Gradfashionista, most of the time I switch out to shoes. On this occaision I kept the boots on and even wore wool socks! The office is cold year round - lots of windows and not well heated in winter, A/C problems in summer. I have fingerless mitts, a jacket, and a wool shawl at work for occaisions when things get dire!

You look great! I love the boots, they look fashionable and warm! What brand are they? We had about 12, maybe 15 inches of snow yesterday. I didn’t pull out my tall boots yet. I wore my Bos Fleece lined Hiking boots, but I might need the tall boots today now that they have plowed. The drifts from the plows are always worse than the snow!

Ooh, love the all-black outfit! The leggings are great. I used to have a pair of pants that had the same kind of pattern, and I really loved them in the winter.
