WIW...channeling 1940’s?

Still experimenting with the new merlot ‘joggers’. Took Roxanna’s suggestion, and paired them with an OBG BR pinstriped button down. Having a bad/frizzy hair day, plus it’s a big laundry/chore day - so channeling the 1940’s with a retro headscarf!

Did a quick flat set. I think I have at least 10 tops that will work with these pants!

Headscarf is great..definitely 40’s feel.
And stripe shirt with joggers works, looks like those joggers are going to be a workhorse for you

@Angie - it’s nice to finally find some trousers with a long enough inseam! I think I’ve grown so used to short-for-me inseams, that I default to rolled hems in order to have the length look purposeful!

Very nice! Head scarf gives the whole look an extra stylish oomph! Do you hold the scarf in place with bobby pins? (Scarves always slip off my head.)

@AJ - I have two big barrettes holding my hair in a sort of French twist under the scarf. With the scarf tied snugly, the fabric has some traction against the barrettes, so stayed put all day. My hair is on the course side, so not particularly slippery.

@bijou - Retro inspired vloggers have been my Covid panacea. I’ve always been drawn to the ‘30’s, but have now added the early ‘40’s fashions to a list of favourites. Big love for Lucille. I can relate to her sense of humour - and she was a redhead!

...off to practice ‘victory rolls’!

What a great look and practical too. I like best what you have put together in #4. I used to, as. Child, love to look at the box of my mother’s pretty things from the 30’s and early 40’s. I loved the prints and heathered colors. Lots of rayon and dresses.
