Jaileen Thank you! I also avoided brown for the first few years after I let my hair be grey, but I guess I have reached stage 2!
BC thanks!
The Cat You know, that is a very interesting thought. After a long time I realized my skin is actually neutral, not warm, but my coloring clearly is a mix of warm and cool tones. Maybe I am a new season !
texstyle Thanks for the suggestion. This thread has me rethinking my colors and how I combine them.
Cee I purged my closet of browns after I stopped dying my hair about 5 years ago I think, but am reintroducing lately.

Hello, hello, nice to see you.
I love the toffee colour on you, esp in #3, with the black sunglasses echoing the dark boots.

Oh you look absolutely ravishing! Your skirt interpretation is to dye for. I want to copy you. Those boots! The combination explodes with confident, steady, potent style. It also complements your beautiful hairstyle so well. I like the pants/booties combo too, very dynamic and energetic. Booties' shine and hue are a nice touch against the black.

You are inspiring! Now I want to go match everything brown I own with black! lol

I actually love this on you. The brown plays so nicely with your warm skin and contrasts with your cool hair! You are giving me ideas!

But onto the most important thing: YOUR. HAIR. IS. FABULOUS. I must know more! Do you have it shaved on one side? Or just pulled back?

All versions turned out great! I like the skirt outfit best; kind of want to see black or some other non-brown footwear in the first to let the jacket stand out a bit more. I've been wearing my brown items a lot more lately, too!

I like both but think I prefer the skirt option - especially because of the boots and the midi skirt.

You look terrific.

Fab outfits, Shevia. I love brown but don't currently have much due to availability. Angie recently said that brown will be having it's moment again so I'm patiently waiting.

I was going to say that #1 is my favourite because I really like how the jacket and boots bookend. Then I went back to look at #3 after Angie commented and of course she's dead right.....your sunglasses and boots bookend wonderfully. So much to learn!

Thank you all again for a warm morning smile and huge boost.
Isabelle I am so used to having dark hair that I guess I forget that it reads light now. I guess my eyebrows (still black) don't really cut it for bookending .
krishnidoux Your description was dazzling. Thank you so much for taking the time to write it. I am beyond flattered that you feel inspired and hope to see the result!
Roxanna I have had some form of asymmetric haircut for a long time, but this iteration has the short side quite short - like a very short pixie that is cut around my ears. It seems to work with my asymmetric features but when the short part gets a bit too long I go crazy!
Aida you slippery fox, you know I am always delighted to hear from you and am waiting, tap, tap, tap, to see your latest outfits.
Sal thank you for the sweet comment!
Marilyn I specifically chose the booties to bookend the jacket in number 1, but the skirt with dark boots worked better. Team #neverstoplearning!
