Fall and winter are exciting: wardrobe is ready, but the tweaking and the experimentation is all new and if one does not have sufficient time prior to dressing for the day; one has more fails than successes. but then each fail gains you introspection and can be the stepping stone to a success.

worn friday to work:
checked shirt- not sure where I got it
black old navy cami
purple talbots blazer
grey/navy old navy leggings
grey dv boots

worn today to study and spend sick day home with ms K ( she has a viral sore throat and low grade fever, she had a terrible experience at minute clinic) after which my hematologist drew 20 vials of blood off me ( can we say almost passed out!) in order to better understand my clotting disorder) so I'm studying from home. attempted a sequin + plaid outfit

on an off topic reply to this post : less than one month into school we got an email asking for permission bebe be tested for high achievement so if she tests in she can work with a specilaist on advanced language, science, math and other areas! This is the reason we moved from our local school to a 40 minute comute that nearly destroyed my mental health until hubby stepped in to help for afternoon pickup. Really hoping bebe gets the additional learning opportunity. Please say a prayer for the little one if you get a chance!

I dig your red and black plaid outfit, Sona. It looks so fabulously '90s!

I also really like the casual vibe of #1. The colours are great on you! (I just LOVE plaid, so you won me over in less than two ticks). Perhaps a pair of taller boots would work even better with those navy leggings. Do adore those booties though

What an awful experience at the clinic, Sona-(( Sending good vibes to both you and your beautiful Bebe! Sounds like such a great learning opportunity, I'm holding thumbs.

I like Angie's suggestion of trying the first outfit with taller boots, but definitely agree that those booties are fab. I also love that purple blazer on you, and the colour looks fantastic with all the blues. And oh la la, you rock a plaid shirt!! Love all the blue-grey tones in outfit 1 (the pendant is a great addition too).

Outfit 2 is wonderful too. The red and black with the cognac coloured bag, a winner in my book.

Also: I've really seen no fails at all, Sona, you continuously look super stylish and even when I don't have time to comment on your outfits, I've been really impressed with all of them. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.

Thanks for ther tall boot advice with outfit one. I also think belting and a scarf would have looked good for work in outfit one but I had a belly ache so wanted to feel tummy free and non fussy if that makes sense. Would black boots work with outfit one?

My workplace is hard to define: none of us wear suits, we all have an eclectic artsy vibe I think and our patients do not seem to care. This is huge because I remember some random study that patients were less likely to view a provider with confidence or competence if they had a nose piercing! Some of my colleagues have tattoos, others wear bootswith bare legs...it is a fun place!

Ah, the plaid is wonderful - really feels like fall. Adore the curved hem of the purpley outfit, and you *know* I love that cognac bag paired with red.
