I had the best day on Thursday. The only actual work was a 1.5 hour meeting in my second job for the health organisation, and even that was booked to have an extra hour at the end to "celebrate the calendar year with coffee, tea, and Tim's baking !" Tim is the quintessential health bureaucrat, rather sweet though, so I thought I'd perk things up with red and white and a Santa hat. ( I kept it off for the meeting part.) When leaving the meeting with 2 other women we found that all 3 of us have convertibles that were all parked next to each other! So we took photos, mine is the small red one in the middle. Then I had 90 minutes to myself available for the big sale that happened to be on at my fave outlet store for this one day! I saw a lovely red top which can replace the red singlet I was wearing which has got tight. ( None of you need to tell me it's tight round the "mid-section", I know. I have a black one exactly the same style, but I did buy them in 2010, so oh well, they can go )
The new red top is much more flattering, so 2 women in the communal changing room said! More suitable for work.
Then off to the health organisation Christmas party for lunch, same outfit different shoes. Had to tell a work colleague who was desperate to know were they new and where did I get them, as they'd be perfect for her cocktail dress, that sorry I got them on holiday in Australia.
Then finished the day off with a special event that was put on by a membership organisation, of a screening of the new Star Wars movie! We're fans and loved it.
I'm also adding WIW on 30th November to work for the day and straight to dinner for my main job's staff dinner, just our 6 women at a small Thai restaurant. Think I changed from the green sandals to the white mules, more dressy for dinner.
Pic 4 is the new top from the sale.
Pic 5 includes the pearls that came from my great-uncle who was in "J-force" in Japan after World War 2, they were strung when I was a teenager I think. And my 30th wedding anniversary pearl earrings from last year.
