WIW to be Cool

UGH, It's still summer heat here in central Texas. About 88 or 90 today and muggy. We were just running out to grab lunch and groceries and this is what I wore. I know, nothing very fashionable but it was comfortable and cool. Yes, it's a bit wrinkled but it's one of my favorite old white blouses with eyelet design in front. I got it at the Gap I think, probably like 10 years ago. It's CPW is about -100 by now. Under it a white tank from EB and a vintage pendant necklace with my favorite BF denim shorts. KUT from the Kloth (thank's to Angie and YLF recommendations on this brand).

I wore shorts like this a lot as it was over 95 for almost 3 months (our hottest summer on record). I like this length on you as it shows your perfectly toned legs yet is not too short. I also like the longer sleeves with this look, it's less expected.

It's simple but still looks very put together...which is exactly what I like.
It's too cold here, only 8 degrees C today! Brrr....I guess that's 46F

sarah, these BF shorts came cuffed but not permanently sewn so they can be adjusted longer or shorter. Got them at Nordies (KUT from the Kloth Catherine BF shorts) and also in white. I've been enjoying this longer length more but sometimes I have been known to roll them up a bit more. I like to layer longer sleeves for the AC inside but I've also begun wearing more long sleeve woven button downs in summer on their own because I like the style too for a change. I feel cool as long as the shirts are light weight cotton or linen and I can roll up the sleeeves as needed.

Rae, I hope we get to experience some winter this year - sometimes it just passes so quietly my leather jacket just sits in the closet looking lonely. The up side is that last year we had a vegetable garden all year (we covered it a few times when it did freeze).

Thanks, TS - I may order them, even tho I won't be able to wear them for about 8 more months! I usually wear a 2 in Kut jeans. Did you find them TTS? Do you have any other Kut jeans by chance?

This is a great look for running around in the heat! I'm wearing my BF shorts today, too, but it's only mid 80's here (finally). The white shirt, even with long sleeves, says cool because of it's color. Here's hoping for fall weather for both of us!

Texstyle - that's exactly what we say about summer here...lol, sometimes it just passes so quickly we hope we get to experience it. This summer was great though, very nice for a full 3 months. That's about the best we get. I like Autumn though....just not to fond of 6 months of snow, snow, snow!

You look fantastic in these shorts! I am really glad we got a real view of them. You've mentioned them in several posts but seeing them in person here I much prefer them on you to the way they look on the Nordie's site. (You have great legs!) I also love the white top. This is the way to dress in the heat.
