WIW this week for work

Dear Fabbers, here are a few snaps from this week. On Monday I wore my favourite scarf, of silk and light wool; I also wore my kabaya to a work dinner on Wednesday, but could only photograph the top! Then today the white skirt. It irritates me that it crumpled, but it kind of drops out reasonably quickly. I would prefer darker tights, but then I think it could look a bit of a blocky outfit. I do wonder now looking at the photos whether I should just keep it for home.

So comments and suggestions very welcome. I’ve flats on for the commute but will change for heels when I get to work. Thank you for looking!

You look fab in the kabaya and I like your eye make-up very much. I like a lot the black top paired with the white skirt and the nude tights but I agree that that skirts is difficult ...

I agree the change in tights makes a difference. Somehow I don’t mind the wrinkles in the skirt now. I think it pulls the eye up to your face instead of down to the skirt. The Kabaya is beautiful!

I actually like the skirt with both tights(and think wrinkles shoeally acceptable during or after a workday)! Love the beads to it and kabaya is beautiful, of course- clever to use again. I use brown sheers rather for Spring/Summer the black sheers&opaques for Fall/Winter, so I like the skirt styled both ways.

Like that you didn't wear dark hose with the skirt outfit. Don't worry about the creases - looks fabulous.

You look great in the kabaya, and your hair and make up are perfect. I like the white skirt with both tights, and there is no need to worry about creases/wrinkles.

I love the kabaya top. And I want tips on the gorgeous eye make-up! We have similar coloring and I can never pull off a dramatic eye. What is your secret?

I though I would prefer the light hose, but I actual liked the dark better upon viewing. I think the jacket is a great addition to the outfit. It breaks up the straight line at the waist. And the pearl echo the skirt color perfectly.

Lovely! Really like the sheer hose you added to the white skirt outfit, that looks fab. Big fan of the blingy top paired with the pretty patterned scarf (totally on team ALGO over here, though!) Gorgeous makeup, by the way ^^

You look amazing in the kabaya and scarf. Did you get positive comments? I like the nude leg look best but the skirt looks like it may be a bit too tight. How does it feel?

Fabulous outfit, both tights work.
I don’t mind the wrinkles - the opening creases : maybe they can be sewn shut? - anyway, I’ve noticed pictures really seem to enlight wrinkles and they’re not so visible IRL.

Thank you Sisi, the comments have helped me shape my view on the skirt, and although difficult, I am going to keep wearing it, and just watch how I style it. It feels good to me to keep this lighter colour skirt in my work wardrobe at the moment.

Karen, thank you for the comments on the eye make up, I have a very limited make up range and key for me is Angie's tip to tight line and oodles of mascara! I do use eye shadow when I am going out.

Thanks Aida, and Joy, yes positive comments on the kabaya, and the scarf. I do think the skirt is a bit tight on the waist to wear without the jacket.

What I am impressed with is #1,5, and 6 and how well you wear intricate patterns - these all look great next to your face. The skirt looks good to me too!
