It's been a long time! I've been swamped but have been reading along.

I thought I'd jump right back in with a WIW. It FINALLY cooled down enough for boots and layers! Yay! I tried out my new Gap Academy Blazer; love it! I've been wearing these boyfriend jeans; they were too short to roll with the booties.

Blazer: Gap academy (navy w/ black trim)
Blouse: AT (navy) silk-cotton camp blouse
Jeans: Kut from the Kloth boyfriends, unrolled.
Watch: Kors
Boots: Boutique 9
Belt: Thrifted

Great to see you! I really like the blazer, I think this navy color really suits you and will be a workhorse. The jeans and boots look great, I need to try my boyfriend jeans with boots, too.

Makrame back when I was in my too-busy-to-respond mode, you posted a question about wearing boyfriend jeans to work.

Now I"m casual, but I thought to myself, "nope, boyfriends and work wouldn't mix"

I eat my words, I bring my boyfriends to work all.the.time.....(but not for lecturing!....yet!)

Ooooh I like the column of colour denim look - great blazer & the BFs look good.

I thought the cropped pants would bug me but it works! YLF! The shirt and blazer take the RATE aspect of the pants up a notch.

Great look. The taupe boots and studded belt add interest to your column of color. And buttoning the shirt up to the neck + bf jeans keep the look modern and "of the moment".

Kiwi--I wasn't thinking about column of color, but you are right; that's exactly what this is!

Denise--I def. like pairing blazers and silk with jeans--love the mix of opposites!

I absolutely, totally, 100% ADORE this on you, and I would love to copy it immediately. Except I need to go buy a cool belt like that. I absolutely love the slouch of the jeans with the buttoned up shirt and the relaxed jacket.
