WIW: Sorting out closet - baggy jeans

Not sure if these are a good look or not, have posted pics of wearing them with several different tops, what do you guys think?

Looks good from the front I reckon, but not sure about the side view, also whether wearing them with trainers makes me too top-heavy.

With your ink I can imagine Urban Warrior Princess or Gwen Stefani in her No Doubt days.
i think the black top in the first photo & the high boots are out of sync with the distressed jeans. I prefer you in the black TShirt. I'd like to see the jeans with short booties and a leather belt. What do you think?

My favorite way you've styled these is no. 3. I think the trainers combined with the layered tops creates a visually appealing bookend effect.

My second favorite is no. 2. The top and jeans and your body art go so well. And I like the way you've juxtaposed everything with the preppy belt.

Not loving no. 1, it could be that the top and jeans just have a different vibe. Like the top is girly but the bottoms are tomboy. Sometimes that kind of contrast creates a great, ironic look, other times, it doesn't work as well.

ETA (edited to add): I also feel the boots in no. 1 are throwing me, prefer the way these baggy bf jeans look with shorter footwear. Maybe try booties and rolling the pants?

I get your comments about the big boots, they are my default winter footwear but falling apart anyway, so I need to get rid, haha. And yeah, I think the #1 top is probably too girly for them. I will try the jeans with a leather belt as soon as I can find a cheapo one to give a go, and I have absolutley no idea what booties are, I'm afraid, have been wondering that for ages.
As for looks, I'd describe mine as kind of shabby urban warrior hippy I guess!

I like #3 also, and would like the black t-shirt with belt and your high tops.

But booties would be even cooler. Booties are ankle boots.....

Seems like Doc Martens would fit your style....

Thrift stores are a great place to source leather belts!

I have a pair of blue doc martens that I painted silver badly some years ago, I will have to dig them out as I'd forgotten about owning them entirely! Cheers for the booties help, I am trying to find some good winter boots now and don't know whether to go for ankle or calf boots. Doesn't help that I am incapable of walking in heels either.

I love the entire look of number 3. Love the top in number one, it looks fantastic on you, but I don't like it with those jeans and boots.
