This Scottie sweater came today. It fit and I decided to wear it to our community theater production of The Buttcracker, a takeoff of the Nutcracker. I added my Scottie scarf, and then my plaid Woolrich jacket. My husband did not think it was over the top!

The Scottie sweater and the owl sweater were both on huge markdown at Macy's Black Friday sale.

Owls and Scotties, Oh My! I love the Scottie outfit and scarf pattern mixed with your plaid jacket. Do I see a red bag? Perfect touch. We saw a great horned owl in a tree this week but did not get a photo.

I love it. Perfect with the scarf! I think I like the owl version even better. (I can’t believe I am saying that when I am a bona fide dog nut. But it’s just that owls are SO cool.)

Not over the top at all. The plaid works well with the pattern of the scarf. I love the outfit, great idea to make a twin set with jumper&scarf, and I like the addition of metallic shoes and red bag.

The show we saw, a takeoff of the Nutcracker, was superb. Every year they have a theme. This year it was history, and so the party at the beginning was at the Donners' (get it, Donner Party?). The house was packed which makes me happy for the theater company.

Joy, thank you. i ended up switching to another red crossbody bag because this one was too small. Seeing an owl really makes my day.

Brooklyn, thank you. I know you're as much a dog person as me, but owls are definitely cool. For whatever reason, Scotties have become Christmassy, and that's why I wore the Scottie sweater to see the Buttcracker.

Jaileen, I just put comment in Angie's party shoe roundup....repeating here that you MUST get some plaid shoes to go with your Scottie capsule, in your family tartan plaid if you have one.

Chris, thank you. We do have some Scottish in our background. My mother told me the names and we looked up tartans at a piping festival (where our son played the bagpipes). I was joking around, picking the one I liked best, and the man at the booth was *shocked* that anyone would do such a thing. The chance of either of those being available on shoes is slim to none, I'm afraid. Still, plaid shoes are very attractive to me. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks for thinkng of me.

The Scottie scarf and sweater look like they were made for each other. I love it.

Speaking of plaids - my maiden name is McCollam and there is a MacCallum (spelling was fluid until recently) plaid that's blue and green, it sort of reminds me of blackwatch plaid.

JAileen, have you seen the red J. Crew t-shirt with a scottie embroidered in black sequins? You might want to add that to your very appealing mix... I wore nearly the same outfit again last night to dinner with my husband and people from his work. I changed to black pants and charcoal boots. I loved it because I was warm!
