WIW plus what happens when you’re foolish and buy final sale

This is a kitchen sink post, covering an online final sale fail, a NAS purchase, and WIW including the red dress that is practically my housedress, I wear it so frequently.

I am fully in dresses/skirts over the last several days due to a small and uncomfortable surgery that has me out of commission for pants this week.

One of my favorite online merchants, Need Supply, is closing. I’m sad. Got two nice pieces (a red tie dye slip skirt and a lace blazer) , daughter got two nice pieces (not shown but she’s so pretty ❤️). And I got a dud of a weird gold tent fabric skirt that I wasn’t expecting from the stock photo.

From NAS, I ordered ALO exercise wear that I have not yet received. And this Theory faux leather mini dress. It’s a lot. I know. And these ridiculous quilted mules that still I kind of love. Let’s just say I might have off-forum fans. Finds are not working for me anywhere now. ☹️

You look gorgeous in everything! Though I agree the skirt is a funny shape on. It almost hangs like culottes. But back to the winners. I love the leather dress--what a knockout piece, and a great LBD to have on hand. The Veronica Beard dress is very pretty on you. The olive tie-waist t-shirt dress is so cool looking, and something I would enjoy wearing, too. You have a lot of good finds here.

I really scour the reviews of items that are final sale. Often the fit is off or the fabric is a problem. If it is a brand I know and if someone I know would wear it if I can’t, I may order anyway. Sometimes it can work in your favor. I was able to score several EF pieces this way as they often run large and I know how several items fit me. If they are still too large, I know several people who would love them.

I'm with Shevia. I *love* the "dud" skirt. I agree with Firecracker -- though I wouldn't say culottes -- it hangs a bit like those sarong shorts Janet and I have. Anyway -- maybe it's worse in person but I wonder if it will grow on you.

A house dress is a fabulous thing -- and a red one is even better.

You look fab in all the dresses and the faux leather is sexy and fun.

I hope you are healing up well. But in any case, we need to enjoy skirt and dress weather to its fullest while it lasts.

I think everything looks really good! The colors and pattern of that red print skirt are really gorgeous. I agree with the hive mind - that gold skirt doesn't look like a dud. Maybe try it with a black long sleeved blouse and booties once it gets cooler? Or alter it. Of course if you don't like it that's the end of it it
