Hubby and I went on a gala cruise for his 60th in early October, and I'm just now getting a minute to post the outfit photos that I so faithfully took! LOL I planned and wrote down all my outfits before I left, and it worked out really well even though I didn't get to wear everything I had planned.

1. At the airport in my fave Chanel-inspired MOTG outfit. This was super comfy, the ballet flats were easy to get on and off at security, and the ponte knit moto jacket kept me warm in the airport a/c. Plus the bronze tote was big enough for my carry-on items.

2/3. Embarkation Day, standing in the middle of a lovely green park ON THE SHIP. Crazy, man. I'm wearing my Gap 1969 white flares with my DVF silk trapeze blouse worn backwards to avoid too much cleavage. Added bonus: wearing the blouse backwards gave a great asymmetry to the hem. Black flat sandals, silver whistle necklace, big silver hoop earrings. Hubby and I wasted no time getting down to business with a couple of fruity umbrella drinks!

4/5. Day Two was a sea day. Casual purple tank from Old Navy with green skinny non-cargoes and Target wedge sandals. That night was the first formal night so Hubby and I busted out the formal gown and tux and I thought we looked pretty fab!

7/8/9/10. Day Three was another sea day. I got up early and did the on-ship zip line in my ON tank, white shorts, and flip flops (which got changed out for sneakers for the zip line). Then we had a little birthday party for Hubby in the ship's ice cream parlor, and I changed into my fun "face" tee, Levi's skinnies, and Payless cork-soled printed sandals. There was a carousel next to the ice cream parlor (yes, ON THE SHIP!!) and of course I had to take a ride on the leopard!! Dinner that evening was "smart casual" so I changed into my pink dress and black sparkly sandals.

11/12. Day Four was our first shore day. We had our photo taken with a pirate on St. Thomas and had a great day exploring the island. I wore a Gap striped tee with yellow belt from Target, cotton skirt from eBay, white watch, black necklace from the consignment store, straw hat from a hat store in San Diego, and black flat sandals. (The hat is because my flat iron died the first day of the cruise!! Oh noes!! Fortunately we found a KMart on the island where I procured a areplacement to get my hair and me through the rest of the cruise!) That evening I changed into my snake dress and Target sandal booties and felt great on the promenade on the ship!

13/14/15. Day Five was another shore day. The first excursion was a snorkeling trip which included a mud bath! LOL Then we ran back for a Segway tour of the St. Thomas boardwalk. I was still wearing my khaki shorts, purple tee and flipflops from the morning because there was no time to change, and my hair was a disaster! Thank goodness for helmets and sunglasses. That evening after a nice shower I changed into red skinnies, fave Laura Max top, and teal Madden Girl pumps.

16/17/18. Day Six was another sea day. I wore a flowered linen blouse from the consignment store with my black clams from Target and black flat sandals around the ship in the daytime, then changed into my prize vintage 70s evening gown and gold Ralph Lauren sandals for the second formal dinner. Popped a crocheted shawl over it to keep off the a/c and felt great! And doesn't Hubby look fab in his dinner jacket?

19/20. Disembarkation Day required something suitable for hanging around Miami, but an outer layer to keep off the chill on the plane and at the airport. I chose a white tee, aqua skinny Levi's, Target sandal booties, floral scarf from Target, and a fab animal-print jacket handed down by my BFF. Hubby was a little skeptical about the pattern mixing, but I kind of dug it. I'm on the stairs to brag about the fact I didn't set foot on the elevator one single time during a whole week on a 17-deck ship! No. 20 is the obligatory luggage shot, and #21 is to show the setup I sued to take my outfit photos in the cabin!

Thanks for looking! I had a blast and I thought of you all the whole time!

ETA: Good grief! I forgot a whole day!

22/23/24/25. Nassau. Went ashore briefly in my white clams, polka dot Ralph Lauren sleeveless top, and red leather thong sandals. How do you think I look in the full Bahamanian bling? That evening (the last evening) we had a fab 8-course wine-pairing tasting menu at a fancy restaurant on board, and I busted out my purple Evan Picone cocktail dress and sky-high nude Guess platform sandals. And those fab earrings are from Nassau and are made of light pink conch shell. Really pretty!
