WIW: New NAS pleione top, ETA: new pics

This is my first time wearing one of my NAS purchases- Angie's pick (the peione mixed media top). I paired it with white ankle length pants and a wedge sandal for a casual weekend.

What do the minds of NAS think of the pant length? It's temporarily tacked down at that length (the original "ankle length" was laughable long on me). If the length looks right, I'll hem it there permanently.

I picked the white pants based on Angie's previous post. These are relatively new, but they've survived several wears despite having 2 young kids, so that's given me a bit more courage to wear them more frequently.

The new blouse looks great. Very flattering colour. How about a little hem roll on those jeans? DD is adorable.

I love the purple top. It looks like its fun to wear. I think the pants might be a tiny bit too short. Why don't you make them an inch longer and take photos so we can compare.

One new pic with Angie's rolled hem suggestion, and one with nancywalter's longer hem suggestion.

- The rolled hem makes it look a bit more modern, I think. A bit more casual too, but I think that's inline with my normal style
- Not sure about the longer length- but it looks a bit funny since the crease-line from the old hemline is still visible.

Roll those pants and cuff them...check...wear the same purple top..check...Have the adorable little Miss with you and you will be ready to look absolutely FAB....Thanks for sharing...

I think the length of the top is really good and the color is very nice on you. I was also going to suggest you roll the pants a few rolls. It narrows them a bit but also changes the proportions a bit. I have read a number of times that outfits look better if the components are not the same length and usually a 2/3:1/3 mix was considered ideal.

Your imp is adorable.

Interesting to hear the 2/3: 1/3 rule. I must admit that since I'm short-waisted, I've been moving towards longer tops over time to make things look more "even". But maybe that's wrong? Or maybe I need to be changing my pants length as well?

Interesting reads. I could often see that something was off but it made sense after I read a few articles on proportion.

That purple color is gorgeous on you with your dark hair and skin tone! Love it! I like the pants cuffed up a little shorter as Angie suggested. Also - I'm not an expert, but I have also heard about the 1/3 - 2/3 rule - it makes for a much more attractive proportion as opposed to 1/2 - 1/2.

That purple top is sensational on you! And we are top twins. I really like the drapey fabric and the way it can be worn either out or in.

I like the advice to cuff the pants a bit more as per Angie --- just a bit more modern, and yes, casual, but that's okay.

Your daughter is adorable. The photo with the balloons is so sweet!
