yep, the shirt is a little snug but it's getting looser

Holy smoke, it's like all the goddesses from the Pantheon of High Style are descending to earth to say kind things to me. I'm gobsmacked. For me the outfit success is kind of like how sometimes when I go to pains to make a funny joke, I fall flat, but then when I'll toss something off without a thought it will get convulsive laughter. I just spontaneously picked out one bright, then the next, and it came together in a minute. I usually strive for monotonal when possible, and you know it's supposed to lengthen you to do it that way...but I felt like being a statement of criss-crossing geometric blocks of primary color!

So....since you are so brilliant with inspirational pics for us generally here...when the Mary K blogger challenge is over and maybe after the holidays, how about staging another "picture" challenge for us here? You could start with this one. Maybe move on to some of the impressionists JR was talking about in her post, and pick whatever else hits your fancy.

Your outfit was the highlight of my day. You look SO great in this!!

Oh, thank you, my dear I am feeling sooooo happy with this result, but also really enjoying all the finery everyone's been pulling out of a hat recently!

So anyway, yes, I would be happy to try and come up with some kind of challenge. It may not even be art...it could be music-inspired! Who knows! Good idea to throw it out there after the (American) Thanksgiving

I still feel like my closet is extremely minimal, and obviously has huge gaping holes, but OTOH I can actually mix things up and come up with some interesting getups now! This amazes me that even at this point I'm capable of this.

Great job and what a fun inspiration... I think doing challenges really allows the opportunity to play with our wardrobes and see how to wear things in different ways. Hope you can continue with more and have fun while filling in those "holes".
