Just a couple so so outfits, I'm trying to work in some pieces I don't wear very often.

Ooh, sophisticated styling, Carole! The dress in #2 is amazing. Clever to wear it as a tunic - it truly works. Love all the ways you've styled the cobalt skinnies. Can't help but love that fresh colour!

Ooh, Carole, you look fantastic!! I love those cobalt skinnies on you! And really like them with the jacket and the last top. You even carry them off with the SS beige, which is quite a feat. I must admit I prefer it with the jacket as well.

I really adore look #2. Maybe I should have said THAT was my shadow style. I'd love to wear tunics. They look horrid on me.

I adore #1, too, with those brilliant oxfords. great week!

You look wonderful! I really like the cream jacket you popped over the "soulsucker beige". It brightens it up so beautifully! That scarf in pic #1 is lovely and I also really love the leopard dress over the leggings/skinnies! I have been looking for a pair of colored full length jeans and I adore your cobalt skinnies!

Hey Fidji oxford twin!

My fave outfits are #1 and #2!!!!!! I especially like all the layering and textures of #1. And I've been wondering if those light shoes could be worn with dark jeans, and you've answered my question! Does it work because it bookends with a lighter top?

Meredith, thanks. It took me awhile to find a pair of cobolt trousers that would work for me, a big surprise to have found them at H&M, even nicer was the price tag. Someone here suggested to look there, their inseams can run longer I'm a 34 in. These are on the short side, but seems that's "in" so lucky me.

Isis-twin sista! The shoes do seem to stand out quite a bit, but I'm hoping the light pink top I'm wearing helps them work.

Wow! i cant believe you found the pants at H&M what a score they look perfect on you! I really like both of the outfits with them. The dress as a tunic is fun with the belt especially!

Great set of outfits. The skinnies look fab with the jacket and oxfords, love the cobalt jeans, the geometric shirt with yellow belt is fab, and love the animal print loafers. Those are just the highlights!

First of all, your hair looks fantastic! Did you have it cut differently?

1) What color is that jacket? It looks like a dark olive to me. Luv the way the scarf picks up the top and jacket color. Nicely styled.

2) What do you call the print of that dress? Is it considered an animal print? I think it's really cool! The belt and bag go nicely together.

3) I have been trying to find colored jeans for months now! Everyone I tried is too low in the rise for me. These look FAB on you! Fun shoes! I like this outfit.

4) Even better with the jacket!! You look artsy and chic!

5) I'm curious what this would look like with the beige sweater over the button down?

Overall, great use of the orphan items!!

AJ, yes, I have a new hairdresser closer to home and she has made some suttle changes in the style, and I'm really loving the shorter length. The jacket is olive, it looks so dark in the picture (need to find a better place to take photos). The dress is an animal print of sorts in black and gray. As far as the beige sweater over the blouse, would never thought of that. The print in the blouse reads pure white so maybe the black version of this target sweater would work, I have that color too! Thanks for the suggestions and nice compliments.

You look great! I love the way the white jacket takes the soul-sucking out of the beige.
You are inspiring me to give tunics another try. Like Suz, I love the look on others but don't feel right in it myself.
