A WIW from earlier this week - another neutrals ensemble with a play on textures.
This blazer is one of my favourites - an investment piece from a French brand called Sandro that I love. I love that the leather panel down the front adds instant structure to anything, but the drape of the wool keeps it soft. I love the quality and the details like the notched collar.
Inside I have a mixed media sweatshirt in silk and grey flannel - another investment piece ( on sale.) the drape and sheen of the silk make this piece for me.

On the bottom is the skirt that started this edgy neutrals look for me - an old cargo skirt from Club Monaco. I was t sure about it when I bought it because it was so outside of my style, but I have worn it over and over as my style has evolved. Sometimes it pays to take a risk !
I keep up the hard + soft theme with marled grey tights and structured metallic boots with zipper details.

This type of look is becoming a regular for me, despite it being so far from the pretty, retro, ladylike style I used to love. Who knows where I'll be in five years ?!
