Here is a version of the festive plaid ensemble from last week as well as some other outfits, some just for work and some for holiday events. Lots of red and burgundy recently. Haven't really had much time to post lately.
-3: festive plaid, worn today to go see a play, followed by some shopping and dinner out. This burgundy plaid shirt is a sheer chiffon and works well layered under my hand knit red cashmere sweater. For bling I added a sparkly multistrand necklace. It was very cold, and we did a lot of walking, so I went with practical black skinnies and tall flat suede boots. I'd like to try this combo with my JWA skirt and booties one of these days as well. Plus red bag, burgundy coat, cream hand knit scarf with burgundy and navy stripes, and a light grey slouchy hat.
Another outfit with a similar silhouette (plaid shirt layered under a sweater, with skinnies and tall boots), just for work this time.
-6: Not really a holiday outfit, although the pattern on this hand knit colorwork sweater has a wintry feel. Worn to work, on a day when we had a holiday happy hour event.
-8: An outfit for a casual holiday party at someone's house. Handknit shell layered over a black lace barrette, with a drapey cardigan, printed crops, and burgundy booties. And yes exposed ankles. It was actually very cold that night, but since we drove the amount of outside time was negligible. If you want to be shocked about seasonal confusion though, I think I have actually worn this exact outfit except with sandals instead of booties in early fall! Heh.
-11: Another work outfit featuring the red cashmere sweater from #1 and the printed cropped pants from #7 (but no bare ankles this time...).
