WIW: chunky knit sweater, skinnies, boots

I chuckled when I saw Angie's blog post today about chunky knit sweaters, since that's what I wore today!
Mine is not all that streamlined, so maybe not super-flattering, but it's ever so comfy and cozy on a cool fall day. I had the day off today, and was mostly at home- only ran to the grocery and took a walk to look at the changing leaves, and I felt happy as can be in this outfit.
I went matchy-matchy with my Donald Pliner boots from the NAS, and I LOVE them, and have been wearing them a lot. Do you think they look better over skinny jeans with the cuff turned up or folded over?

Love those boots and your outfit you look so cute. I may have to try something similar tomorrow : )
And the boot cuff up or down, I'm waffling but leaning toward folded down.

Fab!! These colours are gorgeously autumnal. And the sweater has a lovely shape. It may not be streamlined, exactly, but it does have some tapering and drape to it. I love it on you!

The boots look great either way, but I have a slight preference for turned down on you.

Wow, quite a few YLFers have this boot - you, Christy, Anna (I think?), Janet....

Great outfit, how wonderful that you and Angie were on the same vibe! I like the boot both up and down, slight preference for up. I used to own boots like this and always felt like Maid Marion working in the forest with Robin Hood when I wore them! You look really lovely in these colors!

Fab casual outfit. I think the chunky sweater looks good and it's not too bulky at all. I prefer the boot cuff up general. The look is a little more careless (in a food way).

Love the boots both ways, but with this outfit folded down nicely mirrors your shirt cuffs and collar.
Looks like a comfortably stylish outfit.

Love this! I love the red and denim. Perfect. I do think a chunky knit sweater needs to find it's way into my wardrobe this coming year. It is such a great cozy casual look.

Ack! Super-fab! Those boots look so good with the sweater, or could be just a pop of color in a neutral outfit. I actually like them cuff-up with this, but both ways are good. The denim shirt with the chunky red pullover are so yummy and cozy I can't stand it!

I was going to say... are those the NAS boots? And yes they are! Fab color match. I like them with the cuffs up with this sweater and pants. I'm thinking about a skirt and this sweater... I might like the cuffs down for a skirt.

... Aren't my likes just fascinating? Haha. Not ;>

Glad to hear that there really isn't one right answer on how to wear the boots. I guess I can just follow my whim of the day.

Claire, I agree- usually I've worn these boots as an accent with neutrals.

Even though this isn't glamorous or exciting, this is the sort of outfit I think I need to work on, since it fits a large portion of my casual lifestyle. It's beats wearing my yoga pants to the grocery. Not that I would ever confess to that...

LOL! You look great. Fab, even. And oh so comfortable.

I'm going to be no help with the booties. I love the matching myself, and don't find it excessive. And they look good both ways, so go with your mood and mix it up at will.

I love this outfit. The colors look so good on you. Those boots are so fun ... and they look great either way. I think this is a great casual outfit that is very flattering. I will totally copy this outfit, although it won't be nearly as great without the boots
