Trying to wear some neglected wardrobe items today.
These boots are somewhat orphaned because of their chocolate color. I'm trying to wear them a bit more, since they're comfy and the shape is very cool. However, the color is such a huge stumbling block for me. If they were not suede, I'd have dyed them a different color by now. I'm really not a fan of dark brown at all. I only ever seem to pair the boots with this jacket lately, which is really charcoal but has brown accents. I do like this combo with cherry red though so perhaps I'll explore that avenue further.
The jeans here are my AG Nikkis, which I haven't worn much either. I love the cut but the fabric is too stretchy for my taste and slightly itchy in warmer weather. (It claims to be 98% cotton/2% spandex but it feels very much like it contains polyester to me, so I wonder if it's mislabeled; some of the lighter, more distressed washes of Nikkis are the same composition but feel very different.) It's very cold today so the itchiness is not an issue here.
The purple mittens are not really neglected; I knit them almost two years ago and then promptly lost them when I moved; I only recently found them again just in time for our super cold January.
(Max&Mia jacket, handknit tunic, AG jeans, Matisse boots, Longchamp bag, Kenneth Cole New York coat, and handknit scarf/mittens/hat.)
