In keeping with my new goal to wear the clothes I love, I recently wore two outfits with completely different styles and vibes.
Photos 1-6: The first was to a small concert hall where we saw Ian Hunter and the Rant Band (formerly Mott the Hoople) and he rocked the house. I wore a black F21 tuxedo jacket, white short-sleeved tee, blue J. Brand skinnies, Nine West black belt with silver buckle (my Secret Santa gift last year from lovely Deborah), blue/grey and black animal print cross-strap Aerosole pumps (on one of Angie’s lists during my first year on YLF), and a faux gem necklace. It’s a comfortable outfit and I felt great. I liked the modern silhouette and the fitted nature suited my tastes. My inspiration came from a Canadian woman wearing something similar on a “Love it or List It” program on HGTV. I kept wanting to recreate my version and finally did! ☺ Even though these hues are somewhat dark, I really fell in love with this simple outfit. I took several snaps to show the shorter and longer nature of the jacket, thus so many duplicates.
Photos 7-11: The second outfit is one of my newer purchases and I adore this dress for its length and it is one of the most easy-to-wear dresses I own. It’s effortless and I’ve worn it in rainy weather, with boots, and on nice days, with flats. It’s by Talbot’s and is a black washed denim shirtdress. I’m showing it with red J. Crew flats and also with Donald L. Pliner boots. This will take me from Wintertime, with boots, to Springtime, with heels and flats. The material is a washed black denim, which softens the black and seems to work out with my fair coloring. Photo #7 is my most recent wearing and I prefer it this way and #9-11 was last month when it was raining for most of the day, and I simply added my Commando black tights to stay warm and dry.
Thanks for looking as I keep with another new goal to post more regularly.
