WIW 9/1: Spur-of-the-moment Saturday breakfast

Today Hubby pounced on me the minute I got home from boot camp class, wanting to go to a new-to-us breakfast place. He was all enthusiastic and I didn't have time to shower or do my hair or makeup. As it turned out, I wouldn't even have needed to change my clothes, because there were a lot of people there in full-on gear! But that's not how I roll, of course!

I was happy to be able to put together a reasonably presentable lady-who-brunches outfit with no notice! And bonus fun -- everything in this outfit was either free or very inexpensive, and the two main pieces are from the recent YLF swap!

Thanks for looking. Do you think this is presentable even though it was thrown together? Suggestions for improvement?

I LOVE this look. Kind of reminds me of all the Marimekko I saw around me when I was in Finland many years ago. So streamlined and fun. Sometimes the best results are thrown together when we don't overthink it.

I remember being talked into going to a gallery opening in Venice after my yoga class, there was no way I could go home and change. I was so uncomfortable, I've completely forgotten about the show but not how uneasy I felt there. Glad you had a moment to change! You look great.

Isabel, boot camp is what they call the exercise classes at my gym: http://www.indoorbootcamp.com. Note the key word: INDOOR boot camp! LOL This morning it was half an hour on the dreaded Striders (by the window), then fifteen minutes on the floor doing abs and upper body.

We went to Marston's in Pasadena. Best breakfast in So Cal, according to some web site or other. And yeah, it was really good!

That striped red t is so fun and perfect for a brunch out. I think breakfast or lunch out with DH is much more fun than dinner. Don't know why - lower expectations maybe?
In any case, you looked fantastic especially coming from the gym.
