Fall seems to be here with crazy back and forth weather. Hot one day and freezing the next. Makes for some interesting wardrobe choices.

The dress is one of two that my hubby got for me. What do you think?

Very cute! Your style is relaxed, fun, adorable. You look approachable, creative. Those boots with the dress are excellent. Their texture offsets the dress's horizontal lines in a playful way.
Kudos to your husband, he has very good taste!

LOVE the dress! And #3 is a great "column of black with color" look. #1 is terrific, too - have you tried tucking the tee, and adding a belt? Just curious.

I hear you on the weather - I have no idea how to dress these days, although it looks like we're headed for steady cold from here on out.

Can I steal your scarf? (j/k...mostly) I hear ya about the weather, the other day it was nearly 95 degrees and this morning when I woke up the heater was running.

I love your cons! The first outfit is my favorite, and I agree with Sarah about trying out tucking with a belt. I know you've said that you're not used to tucking. I am a newbie about belting and it's amazing how much it changes a look.

A lovely dress, and I can see it in warmer weather with a nude heel shoe, or cooler weather with a cropped jacket and scarf.

I love #3 and how you make the short sleeve sweater work for colder temps. Love that! #1 is quite the hipster. And the dress is super cute. I'd try the dress/boots combo with more contrasting stockings.

I agree with the others cool, casual & collected. I like outfit 1 the best. The dress really suits you I like how the wider band of black in the middle emphasises your waist.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the comments and suggestions.

I am on the look out for a new wide black belt to do more tucking. The one I had is in need of replacement.

I would love to try a jacket or blazer over the dress. I will have to put that on my list as well. I have an old (from high school) jean jacket, but I am not sure it would work. I will have to try it and see.

I will absolutely be needing more tights and leggings. I don't think I would wear a skirt or dress to work without them. I sometimes have to crawl under a desk to fix wires in my writing lab, so they are necessary.
